Love graffiti?
Then you'll be pleased to know that the city of Malaga invited world-famous graffiti artists to paint some of their buildings in an area called Barrio de las Artes - the art quarters or the graffiti quarters - in Soho.
Soho is the area you can see on the map here on Yelp: It's located between the big beautiful food market and the broad Parisian street with all the flower shops, and the harbor. I found the area quite interesting cause parts of it was very worn down and the number of sex shops made it feel cheap, and at the same as time they have a big new-build kindergarten smack in the middle with sweet and colorful art in the windows (kid-graffiti?).
The street Calle Tomás Heredia which was in very good shape and is an ideal place to start. Bring your camera and walk around the whole area when the sun is out (which it almost always is on the Sunshine Coast). The variety of classic graffiti, playful/smart graffiti and more classic art (painted on a wall that is about to collapse) will keep you entertained. read more
