So have just taken it back to the butchers and was told that the supplier had increased the price at the last minute. I was supposed to pay £35 per kg and was instead charged £45. I should say that I was refunded the difference with zero fuss. However, I find it extremely hard to believe that the supplier would have increased prices by 30% in the week since I placed my order, but in any instance it is disgraceful that they are doing this without telling customers. I cannot comment yet on the quality and taste of the meat, but I currently have a very sour taste in my mouth! It is really sad to feel the need to post this review, and had wanted to support a local butcher for a change rather than the major supermarkets, but wanted to warn other customers of what they are doing.
