Unfortunately, the repair process took the entire summer instead of the timeframe originally discussed. Throughout the repair period, I repeatedly called and left voicemails requesting updates but often received little or no communication regarding the status of my vehicle. I had paid a $2,500 deposit based on the original estimate. Later, I was informed by the Manager that an additional $1,600 charge would be added for a part that was not included in the initial quote. While I understand unexpected repairs can arise, I was frustrated by the lack of communication and transparency throughout the process. Another issue involved a tax exemption that should have been applied to my invoice. Due to the Manager's error, the exemption was not reflected on the final bill. I have spent several weeks attempting to have this corrected and have not received the follow-up I was promised. My biggest concerns were the lengthy delay, difficulty obtaining updates, threats to issuing a lien against my vehicle if not paid in full- despite violations under the Consumer Protection Act, and the unresolved billing issue. I hope the business improves its communication and customer service practices going forward. Based on my experience, I would not encourage others to take their vehicles to this location, and for other's to ask for everything in writing and carefully document all communications.

As soon as I heard it was at this place I immediately said don't let them do the work, nothing. Well a couple days later, he came to tow it back home as were still calling mechanics and figuring out who's trustworthy. This shop MOST DEFINITELY isn't that at all. He paid the mechanic $90 for the diagnostic fee which would have been fine if they had put the engine back together how it was when it was brought there. but instead, sparkplugs were unhooked from the coil pack, the coil pack wasn't even mounted back where it's supposed to be, bunch of plugs not done up, and god knows what else is wrong or missing. but to top it all off, the valve cover is completely damaged. it looks as if it was hit from the inside out. They had taken it off for the inspection but of course, the mechanic said it was already like that. Which is absolutely BS. Not true at all. I know this, because I helped with an oil change the night before because the engine started ticking. so we wanted to do anything we could to stop it before taking it anywhere. after that we did research and found out about the 4.0 timing chain issues. That's exactly what it was. This mechanic quoted $4000 for a complete engine swap. Seems too good to be true honestly, that was my initial red flag. along with that being the only option. That would have made sense if they knew 1000% that it needed it. They took advantage of a young kid that doesn't know too much about this stuff, that just wanted his truck back on the road asap. I would absolutely NEVER RECOMMEND this sad excuse for a shop to my worst enemy. There's a reason they have more bad reviews than any other mechanic in Barrie, and they've only been open for 3 or so years. It's sad that there's people out there that have zero empathy or conscience like the mechanics we dealt with. I understand times are tough, but times are tough for everyone. Your business is nothing without customers, so start acting that way because eventually new customers will dry up.
