Price point is good on everything and not the traditional resort markups you would expect, it was great. It was a great place to run in and get some snacks, and some water/pop, at an affordable price and they had everything. You could get sunglasses, wine, liquor, clothing, jewelry and just about anything you could imagine. Service was friendly. They watch for thieves like a hawks too. Some great people watching. The ambience it's hard to explain kind of like a thrift store gas station meets old school Las Vegas. This is one of my favorite places in the hotel. I recommend going there for anything you need outside of the traditional restaurants and gambling.

I find their prices to be better than smaller liquor stores and grocery stores. Sometimes Sam's or Costco come close but they don't nearly have as much of a variety as these guys. They have a lot of locations and I believe they're the largest liquor store chain in the state. It's nice to see them expand and carry so many different types of products. The store is also setup in a way to make it easier to find if you're looking for something specific.

Staff is always helpful & friendly. I like how when you're looking for an item they can look in their computer to see what location carries it. I keep telling them to get McGillycuddy's big bottle of Butterscotch liquor. They carry the small nips in this flavor....please, please get the big bottle!!! I did pick up a bag of ice here the other day on my way to my friend's house for a labor day pool party & man it was a small bag & $$$. Ugh!! Don't go to any other liquor store in Vegas. They may be fancier but Lee's has the best prices in town. I also LOVE their yearly event (usually twice a year) Lee's Wine event. Buy a ticket & go to the event where you can sample lots of booze. Take pictures of your favorites so you can go to Lee's & purchase it. I've come across a lot of items that I've enjoyed at the event & bought @ Lee's. I got to met the owner & son prior to them passing away. So sad!! RIP. Thank you!!

Summary for the busy executive: A tidy, small, conveniently…read morelocated liquor store with polite staff. But they can't compete with the big boys in terms of either selection or price, and their staff needs a wee bit more training. Full review: Today, I thought that it might be pleasant to stop by a smaller liquor store than the big box places that dominate Las Vegas, so I checked out Liquor City. It is conveniently located across Horizon Ridge from Target, in a small and easily accessible strip mall setting. Inside, the store is tidy, organized, and fast to size up. I was looking for bourbon, and it took a nanosecond to find their alphabetized whiskey selection. Since it was so well organized, it didn't take long for me to determine that they didn't have what I was looking for. I asked the young man behind the counter if they had Evan Williams bottled-in-bond (white label), and was met with a bewildered, "Yes, we have Evan Williams. It's right there." He pointed at standard black label Evan Williams. "No, no," I attempted to clarify, "bottled-in-bond. White label." His response: "What's that?" Aside from my disappointment that they didn't have what I wanted, I was a bit surprised that the fellow behind the counter didn't know what a bonded whiskey is, or that liquors have different varieties sold under the same label. Bottled-in-bond whiskey isn't a rare or weird thing. Somebody who works at a liquor store should really know about it. Failing to find my favorite cheap bottle, I decided to go for my second choice: Wild Turkey 101. Everybody sells it, as did Liquor City. But then came the sticker shock: $50 for a handle. That's really expensive! So I bid the nice clerk farewell and headed to Lee's Liquors, where I bought a handle of WT101 for $35. So: It's a nice idea to have a locally owned and convenient liquor store. But they don't seem able to compete with the major players, and there's not much to recommend here until they up their game.

Same goes for Skyy Vodka, Patron, Fiji Water, and a bevy of other beverages, seeing as SWS has 15,000 SKUs in their system. They distribute 75% of the beverages here in Nevada. Insanity. I went here for a tour this morning (6/1/11) on a hospitality purchasing field trip. I'm not sure the general public can get a tour, but regardless, the tour was great. It was mind-blowing to see the sheer volume of alcohol on hand in this place. Imagine how many Coronas, say, a casino might go through in a day - a lot right? Now multiply that by all the casinos. That's even more! Now add up all the grocery, warehouse and convenience stores that sell them... and then multiply that by 35-45 days. Yeah, SWS keeps between 35-45 days worth Nevada's consumption of Corona, in their warehouse. It's the craziest thing I've seen - the total number of Corona pallets are easily double the size of an average family home here in Vegas. They say everything is bigger in Texas, no. Everything in Vegas is bigger. Imagine 3 or 4 Costcos, turned into liquor refrigerators; that's what SWS is like. One "Costco" is at 58*F (+$10/bottle) and the other "Costco" is at 68*F (Less than $10 /bottle) I can't imagine their electric bills. As we (our class) ate flaxseed waffles, fruit salad and banana bread, made by the head chef at SWS (yum!) we listened to really friendly people from SWS tell us some cray-cray stories about the kinda stuff they go through to get high rollers some rare wines at the drop of a hat, the legal red tape (that most of us didn't know existed) of buying, selling and distributing alcohol in the US and how to secure and manage a place that's so imperative to the success of Las Vegas. If you have the chance to go here and listen to a presentation and go on a tour, DO IT! It was an eye-opening and interesting way to spend a few hours this morning.

The cocktails were pretty good though. I would suggest that during slideshows, it would be helpful to have videos play in full screen instead of within the template frame. I will say last year our instructor came off as racist. Some of us asked questions and were eager to learn. However I felt deliberately ignored and saw judgement in his eyes. The thing about him though, he was actually totally engaging. We were all very entertained and it helped us retain the information. Shoutout to Steve who was very kind and informative. Would take classes here again. I bet it's awesome to work here!
