I located this car dealer from auto trader who sold second hand cars. I had bought a car from them…read morewith the assurance that everything was working fine. I was just after a reliable cheap to run car. The car was a 1999 Nissan Almera. You don't expect the car to be perfect but if the dealer says it has been "workshop checked" then everything should be o.k. The car was sold with potentially fatal faults, the drive shaft boots on the front of the car were split which could cause the wheels to lock up. The front tyres were also worn down to the legal limit and had to be replaced. I had the car for less than 2 weeks, so I phoned to enquire about the faults. The manager phoned me back he said "All our cars don't come with a warranty, the car was running fine when we sold it" The car was also only getting around 20 miles per gallon which for a 1.4 engine on the open road is pretty poor. When I asked him about this he said " Its normal mpg for that type of car, you might want to change the spark plugs and air filter". The fault for this turned out to be the front brake sticking on one side. It sounded to me like he wasn't really interested, now that he had taken money for the car. I have now had to have the car repaired to make it safe to drive, at a different garage. The cost was an extra £200 on top of what I already paid. This included Tyres, Drive shaft boots, brake parts, and labour charges. I also had to apply for V5 registration document myself because they did not send off for it. I will be selling the car soon, as it has cost far too much money already. This is the first time I have written a review, and normally I let little things go, but if you spend so much of your hard earned money for a service which is poor, you have to let other people know. I would advise to check a car thoroughly if you intend to buy from this dealer, and walk away if there are any signs of faults, because they will not help you after you have bought the car..

The windscreen wipers were so hard and brittle they would not wipe the window so how it ever passed an MOT is a mystery. They were immediately replaced. After two weeks the battery failed so it was then a new battery. The garage gave a winter check for free and said the front tyres were an advisory due to being near the legal limit. The next week a rear door lock would not release as the deadlock had seized. The following week the car broke down when the alternator packed up. I was without the car for over two weeks whilst a new one was ordered and Bridge End Motors were sympathetic but would not assist with car hire even though I only asked for a contribution for one week. Yesterday the car dash board lit up like a Christmas tree and went into limp mode. What a heap of junk I have bought. All these faults in two months so now I have zero confidence in the car. I do blame myself for not taking better notice of things like the tyres and the battery which showed low battery level warning when I collected the car but I assumed it was because the car had not been used for a while. From my experience this is a garage which is not interested as soon as you drive the car away. I wish I had never bought from them

Having bought a low-mileage car from this dealer nearly 3 years ago now; I can recommend them to…read moreanyone who wants a good car that doesn't cost the earth. Other than the usual servicing & MOT's (which I have also had done cheaply, and satisfactorily at Bridge End Motors), I have spent very little on my car in the last 3 years, and would definitely buy my next car there. I am currently looking for a new car, and although they haven't got quite what I want in stock at the moment, they have said that they will try and source one for me - without obligation to buy. They've got a deal on at the moment - minimum £300 off any used car, when not trading in your old one.
