The space is on the 3rd floor of the recently remodeled Granary Building. There is nice bright lobby with reception desk that has been staffed I have been there. Check-in for class is pretty easy, there is an iPad on a stand where participants find their name and tap "check-in". A sign indicates what props will be needed for the class. Props are neatly stacked to the left after entering. The two bathrooms are always clean and are spacious. The yoga room is a simple hard wood space with windows to the north. I (male) have often been the only male in the class, but with the weather getting colder, the mix of participants has increased. I have enjoyed all the instructors, they are kind, helpful, and very good at leading classes. I have taken part in Gentle/Restorative, Hatha, and Vinyasa classes. The times work pretty well for me. There is usually a 7AM class, then 9:30AM, then noon. Those are the classes I have attended (my schedule has been flexible lately). Only once has my class been sold out, a Sunday AM Hatha class, 40 people fit in that room. I have had a number of teachers ask my name, that has been nice, adds a personal touch to attending classes. BYC has a lot of special events, too, I have not attended any, but it's good to know they are there when I am ready to give one a try.

I love how the work outs are small groups with really awesome coaches, every single coach has been so helpful with form, offering alternative movements if needed, giving helpful feedback while also encouraging you to lift heavier and push harder and I feel like every coach truly wants you to be the healthiest strongest person you can be! All the coaches and the owner Jake are so friendly and make the work out classes fun but challenging. They are all so knowledgeable about nutrition and fitness, they're all so amazing and so great at helping to keep you motivated! All the other members are so encouraging too, it really makes a difference when the other people doing the work out with you and pushing themselves just as hard if not harder and are super friendly while encouraging you to push yourself too. I've had such an awesome experience at this gym unlike any other gym I've attended. The community this gym has created is truly one of a kind! My only regret is not finding them sooner! I really love the structure of the work outs with the hour classes having portions for strength training and portions endurance training. I personally really enough being able to focus on trying to lift heavy and really work certain muscle groups and then finishing the work out off with another portion to really get your heart rate going. The nutrition plan I started with the 6 week program was really well thought out and all the food was tasty, nothing was bland or boring. Every meal I felt full and wasn't craving more food. I also made some new recipes that I really love and still make for myself from it! My first Yelp event!…read more After getting lost, I found lab Athletics tucked away off Meridian near a warehouse. They wasted no time in putting us through a challenging workout! Unlike some other gyms, you can tell the trainers sincerely care about you as a person and helping you attain your fitness goals. They also have 6 week challenges, personal training and Jurassic Snacks onsite for some tasty post-workout treats. Although this type of bootcamp style workout (burpees, mountain climbers, flipping huge tires,etc) does not appeal to me, it motivated me to get back on track with exercise I do enjoy. Highly recommend lab Athletics for those looking for a grueling workout and fantastic, professional and motivating and experienced trainers.
