The dogs are happy and look great. I'm happy and I need a haircut. I would ask them to groom the dogs again again

I called a day before and Andrew was kind enough to accommodate a grooming the next t day. I drove an hour to get to the shop and explained what we wanted especially for her face. I wanted a teddy bear cut look which is a more rounder cute shape leaving more hair around the face but maybe they don't know what that is? You would think they'd know being a grooming shop for so long. Even though our dog had a little matting under her throat area it wasn't for them to shave it all the way up and the sides of her face. I was left very disappointed and can't wait for her hair to grow out. I also noticed her skin very red on neck area. I appreciate that Andrew was nice and got down to our dogs level making her feel somewhat comfortable because she does get nervous I just wished he would had listened to my request and followed through. I don't even know who really cut our dogs hair because he said there are lady groomers in the back. Pics show when I got her groomed back in March of this year (look/shape on the face I wanted) compared to the narrow looking shape they gave her so sad. And the thing is I SHOWED him the pictures of her beforehand.

Metro Pet Salon - Keiko and Benson have been groomed by Metro Pet for the last 10 years and they do a fantastic job. They both love going there.

That kind of longevity says everything. They treat my dog like family -- with so much love, patience, and care. The grooming is always absolutely beautiful, and I trust them completely. It's rare to find a place that combines skill, professionalism, and genuine heart the way they do. The team is kind, welcoming, and truly passionate about what they do. After all these years, I wouldn't go anywhere else. If you're looking for a groomer who will care for your pet as if it were their own, this is the place. So grateful for Metro Pet Salon -- they are the best of the best!

My severly epileptic Doodle, Bowie, was going in for his winter grooming. This was the earliest I could get him in because of their "busy" holiday season plus due to Bowies seizures, that they are well aware of, I try not to put him in stressful situations that often. Usual cost there is $140, (already higher than any groomer in town) - I received the call to pick up Bowie and was told I need to bring check for $220 (oh, they dont accept credit cards, fyi) due to matting issues of his hair. They had supposedly spent an extra 2 hours on my highly anxious dog- but yet they still had him ready at the same time as they always have- 3ish. Hmm Needless to say I was shocked as I had not recieved a call saying there was an issue, which I insist on when i drop him off - due to his condition. They went ahead and did what they wanted charging an additional $80 fee and basically they would not turn over my dog until I paid in full. Then, continued to tell me that they are not like any other groomer and they need to be paid for their work. The RUDE owner then said "Maybe you should bring him to a Vet!" She should know my dog is under constant medical supervision, blood tested, and highly medicated as welI, but apparently nastiness was a better defense since they don't ask for medical records at their elite level. Never in my 30+ years of having dogs groomed all over the country (including NYC and LA) have I ever had an issue like this. The idea of upcharging $80 without notification or option discussion is dispicable business. THAT is what disgusts me the most, while they defended themselves as elite groomers while holding my dog hostage until I paid. Of course, when I told them I wouldnt be back, they said " well we clearly are not the groomers for you." Apparently.... Note: My dog was in the exact same condition as any other time he was brought in to Metro. I guess there was a "busy season" quota they had to fill. Please note the razor burns below for additional cost.
