I like this park because it's just the closest one and it's decent size. However, I don't like it because there are piles of dog shit everywhere. Makes me wonder how people clean up after themselves... There are rocks and burdocks everywhere (safety hazard) Someone even left dog food spilled. City parks are so much cleaner. I get that it's on a military base and it probably isn't their priority but there are families that bring their dogs here often so I feel like it should be less unkept. Also, I'm not a fan of people bringing their kids because sometimes kids get carried away or some dogs don't like kids like mine so I think it's safer not to bring them. Luckily the park is big enough to walk away. Parents please keep an eye on your kids. Like most dog parks many people don't seem to care about their dogs behavior unless dogs are actually getting bitten, so please just keep an eye on your dog and their behavior. ****In my opinion this park is not a safe place for dogs or families. I cleaned up a few piles but it needs more than one person to help keep this park clean. I'd like to keep going here but if no one is putting in effort I won't be surprised when this park gets closed off. Dogs can't clean up after themselves. Nasty disease can be spread from fecal matter. Take care of your pets!

This is a beautiful dog park on Fort Bliss. I went there for the first time today. I was really impressed how big it was. It's surrounded by huuuuge fences so even jumpers can't run away. There's chairs and also a little fountain for dogs. What I was a little sad about is that there were so many dog poops. I mean, it's not the park owner's fault. It's the dog owners who don't even clean such public space. That's why I had to watch where my puppy walks so she won't step on them or mess with them. FYI this park is divided into two areas. One for dogs more than 20 lbs and the other for dogs less than 20 lbs. I like that they don't put small puppies and big dogs all together.

Great place for our pup to run around. Always other dogs for to play with. Large inclosure with separate area for smaller dogs.

One of the nicest parks in the northeast and definitely has to be one of the biggest in the city. I…read morelove bringing my dogs here, the running path is a favorite. The park is very well kept, lawn and trash wise. The rec center is full of activities and services to the community. The pool here is great in the summer, cheap and even has a slide!

A small portion of the paved loop lines up with Railroad Rd so it can be a little unnerving as well as loud walking close to 55+ mph traffic if it is busy. There is ample parking. Trash cans and doggy bag stations are available, although no one seems to really clean up after their dogs. Two baseball fields and basketball courts are open to the public. They are kind of old looking but satisfactory. There are large grassy areas for soccer, picnics, and so on. There's a playground for the kiddies. It is popping during the weekend as well as during the early/evening times with walkers, runners, or groups playing soccer. Off peak daily hours are just plain odd to say the least. There are some really sketchy characters hanging out near or in their cars during the day that can make you feel uneasy. My advice is to just go during high peak hours.
