My daughter got her eyebrows waxed, and they also offer microblading and eyelash extensions at very reasonable prices. The space is nicely decorated, with a boutique feel rather than your run of the mill nail salon. Jenny picked the name "Lavelle" because she liked the way it sounded, and was happy when she found out that it meant "a cut above." I concur. If we lived here, I would be a regular client.

What I have since learned is that their advertised price is for one treatment while the other place is the same price for a series of treatments, making Bouvardia many times more expensive. I am not sure how they compare for other types of treatments. The staff do seem friendly but it also feels like they are trying to do a hard sell and get as much money out of you as they can. I also ended up on their email list without permission (I had emailed them to ask a question once). The treatments were fine, but I would much rather save a ton of money and go elsewhere. I doubt I will be back. Update: This seems to be another of those small businesses that abuse personal contact information. Despite never consenting to be on their mailing list in the first place, and requesting at least once a couple years ago for them to delete my email address and remove me from their email list, they still sent email. Be wary about giving them any personal contact information if you go there!

They offered me drinks (you can choose coffee, tea, or I think mimosas) and got started right away. There was a mistake in billing at the end (just because of a mixup in communication) and they still ended up honouring my quoted price for nails which was great. I got a shellac manicure with nail art on all nails, and Mimi was amazing and patient with the art and did a great job. She let me be picky with the colours and design too. I couldn't be happier with my nails. She's also been doing nails for 20 years! You can tell. I did my nails February 14th, today is March 12th and not a single nail has chipped. I plan on going back very soon. And will make them my main place for waxing and nails. My mom also got a pedicure here and was very pleased with her nails. However nail art pricing is a bit weird - intermediate art on all 10 of my nails was $20, but simple art on 2 of my mom's toes was $10.
