I was in pain and he read over my past eye history and diagnosed me over the phone and called in a prescription antibiotic. When i went to my appointment which was 16 hours later, i found that what he diagnosed me with was not what was the problem. The prescription antibiotic drops that were given to me were indeed OK to use to help the situation but another drop was given along with the original drop to help my eye. The instant i was given the second drop the pain subsided, so i had wished he had seen me so i did not have to go 16 hours in pain. While speaking with Dr. Johnson he had stated that he was waiting on Lowe's Department store in regards to a new refrigerator. I am guessing the reason he did not want to meet with me was because of the refrigerator. Also, he stated that he spoke with his dad about the symptoms and that the dad also agreed that it was an ulcer. At the time i was not aware who his DAD was and did not feel that Dr. Eric M. Johnson, O.D. was adequate enough to make a decision without contacting his father. He never asked me what eye i was having the issue in and also scolded me over the phone for over wearing my contact lenses, along with stating that my current eye doctor was not prescribing the correct contact lenses for me. The current doctor i have is a partner of Eric M. Johnson, O.D. and i do not feel he has the right to say that. In my eyes i did not feel like i was taken care of at all and i do NOT recommend seeing Dr. Eric M. Johnson, O.D.

Amazing and friendly service, I live in Litchfield and this was just a quick 15 minute drive…read moretowards Edwardsville. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and courteous and well-managed. The equipment seems very up-to-date / new, and I had full confidence in the experience and i was able to update my prescription, accurately and efficiently. The quality of care and thoroughness was very appreciated as well, as they assisted me in reaching out to another doctor that I was referred to in the St Louis area who specializes in eye muscle care. Shawna does a great job and seems to be an expert in this field. This was my first eye appointment in a while, and the staff & the experience overall really set me at ease. I highly recommend.

I would not change a thing!! I read another review that mentioned the price of the frames. The way I see it, is what decent optometrist office doesn't have expensive frames? They have alternatives to choose from also, it's your choice. You know, you get what you pay for, usually. Everyone has different opinions, I think the ppl there are fantastic! Go see for yourself!!
