[As an example, at Rhyd Broughton, after having one of our rats put down, I had to wait in reception for well over 5 minutes, in tears, waiting to pay for the treatment. Disgraceful]. The two main vets at Borras are both lovely - very approachable, informative, and knowledgeable. Their prices are reasonable, and in an emergency they always do their best to fit us in. A very nice touch after one of our rats had to be put down was they sent us a With Sympathy card. Very thoughtful, and costs them very little. Borras Park also have a surgery in Lavister (by the Grosvenor Hotel in Pulford).

On a Wednesday they visit as far as Criccieth for no additional charge, they may visit other areas but I am not sure. We took our 1 year old cat in at 10pm one evening as we had found her injured. The vet was lovely, really caring and understanding.She did an x-ray straight away, and explained little Ellies injurys to us. We were kept informed of everything for about three days, but eventually got a call to say she was not going to pull through, we drove straight down, and Lizzie, the vet who had treated Ellie all the way through was in tears as she put Ellie to sleep. We now have three more cats, and would never consider taking them to any other vets.

They provided round the clock care for the remaining 3 pups who are now doing very well. Provided timely updates on the pups who were in critical condition when they went into their inpatient care. We first had to rush our cat…read moreIfrit to their 24 hour service a few months ago and were so kind and understanding when I explained my situation (not only a poor student but a poor disabled student relying on public transport) and let me work out first bus I could get to get Ifrit seen ASAP. Recently had to return to Manor Vets Edgbaston as it appears Ifrit has cystitis again and they're currently processing his urine samples today - a rush to make sure no underlying problems! By phone they are incredibly kind and patient, very understanding, and gave me numbers for the Cats Protection and Friends of the Animals for badly needed help with the cost of vets consultation and neutering fee for which I am incredibly grateful for. Some vets can be quite snobby and look down on lower-income people, but this recently refurbished state of the art veterinary practice is far from snobby. Treats were provided for the furry patients which helped Ifrit relax in the waiting room, and everyone there was definitely a pet person, creating a calming, warm, welcoming atmosphere. They've also given brilliant advice on foods that help his condition and it is little touches like that make me so grateful we chose Manor Vets.

I was not able to get insurance for him, so had to pay for all treatment myself. I have a number of rescue cats. I paid all bills over the last 21 years without question. During 2010/2011 my then 13 year old developed a knee problem. I was concerned with regard to her treatment. she had a plastic knee which cost over £500.00 with the cage I was advised to buy and other things. she had to be kept in the cage which ended in being a duration of over 6/7 weeks as the hole in her leg did not heal. She was stitched and stapled. no collar was put on at first until WE requested it. Finally, being exasperated I returned to the vet for the 6th time, seeing a different vet, and saying I wanted to leave my cat there until they had sorted out the problem. I had a 4 year old granddaughter and my cats leg was oozing rubbish. I telephoned to see how she was and a very snooty receptionist told me that she had taken so long to heal because I hand't followed their advice. I had! I bought a cage £50.00 another litter tray. kept her in it for far too long. returned to the vet 6 times which cost for the fuel and time off work. I told her this two weeks later I received a letter saying they did not want me as a customer any longer. my husband was livid. I wrote for an explanation and was completely ignored. I contacted them some months later because my pancreatic cat was very ill and they wouldn't treat her. So what point it the Royal College of Vets advising people to contact the vet in the first instance. Once you question anything thats it absolutely shocking treatment and I don't believe they care two hoots about the animals because they would not treat mine even though they knew he could die. Really caring vets if you have nowhere else to go, yes use these Willows in Endon.

Towards the end of the examination he opened my pets mouth wide and he squealed with pain. When placed on the floor, my pet ran to a corner of the room and hid under a chair. Mr. Fahrenholt told me it was, "Part of the procedure". The squealing continued from time to time at home. Very distressing for me and my wife.
