I started calling around until I found Franks Granite. Thalia answered all my questions, issued via text & email various samples, Frank went out to property to measure & within 4 days the granite was installed! Now for the better news! One of the granite pcs. unfortunetly cracked...Frank took ownership & immediately went to work on not just replacing that piece but the piece next to it, to assure there would be no problems with color. Frank was able to manufacture & install within 2 days! Not only is customer service superb but the quality of the granite along with the install was superb! I took a trip to view the progress on the house & the granite looks great! Some places will quote you a thinner granite...Frank's granite is 1 1/4" thick (standard thickness), you get 4" granite backsplash, 3 different edge styles, sink cut out plus SS sink, manufacturing, install for a very reasonable price! He is professional & curtious, front office a delight to deal with! I took a leap of faith & I am so happy I did! Highly recommend! House is not complete yet, so I will follow with pictures.

In July of 2023, we had our separate 1-car and 2-car garage floors finished by Tru Grit. The end…read moreproduct looked fairly good as long as you didn't look too closely. Some repairs after the initial installation were required which gives the floor an uneven look in some places. After the installation, the solvent smell in the 1-car garage never subsided making it impossible to be in that garage for any length of time. The 2-car garage did not have this problem. Tru Grit came back and added another topcoat in an attempt to eliminate the smell but that only helped slightly. After 3 weeks, the 1-car garage still had a fairly strong solvent smell. After 3 or 4 months, the smell did finally go away. The installation crew was sloppy. During the installation they marred the baseboards with their equipment which required touch-up painting in many places. They slopped the base coat on some of the shrubbery and ground cover. They dumped some sort of liquid in the grass in two different places which killed it, and they got some topcoat on the grass in a third place which also killed it. I had the curbing installed around the perimeter of both garages and they didn't do any preparation of those surfaces, covering blobs of left over sheetrock compound and caulk instead of first removing them. I also had them apply the basecoat to the threshold of the front door and they slopped it onto the door trim requiring significant touch-up painting. Tru Grit did offer to take care of correcting these items. Three years later, the floor looks pretty much like it did in the weeks after installation with one exception - The portion of the floor that is outside the garage overhead doors has yellowed quite noticeably. I noticed on their website in the Q&A portion that they don't actually answer the question as to how resistant the coatings are to UV exposure. The coating is still in place, but I am here to tell you, it DOES yellow over time.

We had to have a small section repaired about a year later (my fault) and Tru Grit was able to get it fixed in a little over 5 weeks from when we reached out. Visually it looks identical and you'd never know it was repaired other than a few rough spots they recommended we take a straight razor to. I'm a little disappointed that after paying for the repair, they asked us to finish the floor ourselves rather than sending one of their crew members over. That said, I understand they may have been busy with other jobs. Overall, we're very happy with the work and would absolutely recommend Tru Grit.

After getting bids from 2 companies to repaint the exterior of the house, we decided to go with…read moreColorworx. Their pricing was higher, but the quality to detail and respect for our property was completely worth it. First of all: Their communication regarding timeline and any delays was exceptional. They explained why delays occurred (primarily weather, which makes sense for Florida: painting over something wet will not stay on as long as something painted over dry). From when Diego and Nero arrived they were extremely kind and attentive. They took their time doing the taping, and then the detailed painting to ensure there were no flaws or possible leaks of different colors where they shouldn't have been. We have a screen enclosure that they had to remove a panel to paint part of the house, and they took care of scheduling someone to replace it once they finished, and included that price in our payment to them. We also purchased a different front door (they had originally agreed to paint the current one so it was in the price), and will be coming back out when the new door arrives to get it painted. Honestly, the price is worth the attention and care they provide to every client. And also the relationship between the owner and his employees makes it clear they don't feel rushed to finish rather than doing the job right. ColorWorx is for people who care about quality. People who plan to stay in their home and want the job done right, so they won't have to revisit painting for years to come. I chose ColorWorx initially because they specialize in cabinet refinishing, and I wanted that done properly - not just a simple paint job. Then I talked to Chris and came to realize that they could do a lot more than just simply painting. They could update the hardware in the cabinets and add pull-out shelves. They could take down some ugly wall-size mirrors in the bathroom that I really didn't like. They could fix drywall from some electrical work where I hadn't yet arranged for the drywall repair. They could do some tile-work for part of the area uncovered by the removed mirror. The fact that they could handle a broad array of tasks meant I didn't have to chase down and coordinate multiple vendors. I didn't realize at the time how important that would be. Though my condo is not large, it was a big job - the walls had not been treated kindly over the years, and I wanted it to look as much as possible "like new" before I moved in. The time and effort they put into the prep work was amazing. And then, they found some drywall damage from moisture. My first thought was to panic - but it turns out they could handle that as well. They ripped out the damaged drywall, sealed the concrete block, replaced the insulation, and closed it all up again. Yes, it did delay the job by a couple of weeks (that kind of work takes time as you need to make sure everything is dry), but I didn't have to worry about it, and the added cost was quite reasonable. Another painter might have just painted over the problem and never told me about it. Not ColorWorx. And then there's the attention to detail. I have a number of bi-fold closet doors - two of which did not close properly. I never mentioned them, yet before they left, the doors worked perfectly. As for the results of the painting and cabinet finishing - outstanding. One thing I liked is that most (if not all) of the people who showed up actually work for ColorWorx - they aren't random 3rd party contractors brought in for the job. And I was told they keep their people by paying them decent wages - which I believe. And yes, that is reflected in the price - as I hinted at in the beginning - if you're looking for the cheapest option, you're not likely to go with ColorWorx. But if you're looking for the best option - they should be at the top of your list. Special kudos to Alejandro, Julio, Jose, Yosi and Nilsa and maybe a couple of others whose names I missed. They took care of my place as if it were their own. Alejandro in particular has an amazing eye for detail and quality - spotting and taking care of issues I probably never would have noticed.
