They guided me through every step of what they were doing and even let me pick what music we could listen to during the surgery (I was passed out but still- super nice to wake up to it). Once I woke up again they gave this very handy face wrap to ice my cheeks/jaw. Before I even went into surgery and had my consultation they played a video for me that easily explained what the procedure is like and what to expect. They made sure all my questions were answered before making a decision to doing the surgery with them. I couldn't have asked for a better place to have this procedure done.

I was referred to Dr. Granda for a wisdom tooth extraction with sedation. He said he could not do…read moreit at his office and referred me to University of Miami Division of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery. I immediately told him I did not want to go to a student learning facility because I had a very bad experience with one previously. He assured me that was not the case and the the Professors actually practice there and do the work. He also said he knew all the oral surgeons there, and any one of them would be great. Based on his representations, I made an appointment and met with Dr. Lawrence Armentano. I told him what Dr. Granda had told me. He advised me that he would not personally be doing the surgery because this is a student teaching facility. He said he did not know Dr. Granda, but he recognized the letterhead as Dr. Granda had sent many referrals to them. I then looked up Lawrence Armentano information on line and found he had only 1 review, and it was extremely negative. Based on that I decided not to have my tooth removed there. I sent a letter to Dr. Granda advising how angry I was for having to pay $176.00 to find out he had lied to me. He knew or should have known that where he sent me would be student dentists doing the work, which is exactly what I told him I did not want. I have asked him to refund the fees I paid to Dr. Granda.

But his office and office staff are up to no good. What do I mean? Primarily, their billing practices are unethical and shady. When my wife and I were patients for, roughly, a 12 month time frame we were getting "Explanation of Benefits" from our insurance provider monthly. These indicated that there were constant billings against my dental insurance for their office to get paid. These were falsely filed claims that either my wife or myself were at their office receiving services each and every month. I might not floss on the regs but I certainly don't need monthly dental visits. Once I caught on to this scam I notified the office manager that we'd no longer be patients due to their fraudulent billing practices. The office manager was really concerned about their customer service and made an offer to me in the practice of customer retention: If I were to remove my family as patients that we'd have several hundred dollars in "co-pay" balances that they claim to have never levied against me. If I stayed a patient, we'd continue to have no balance. Right... Side Bar: I've never received of bill for these fees. Currently, I've received 3 new Explanation of Benefits for 3 separate services at his office in 2013. After not having been a patient or even having any contact with this office in almost a year and half, they started billing against my insurance again! I've contacted my insurance provider to advise of this fraud and to have my "used" benefits restored to their correct values. Dr. Nullman's office simply excused themselves and said "We've got two William J.'s. We must have billed the wrong one." Convenient... Steer clear of these cons. I think it's time Dr. Nullman gets a overhauled office staff.

They have state of the art equipment which looked like something out of The Jetsons & took imaging of my head. Dr. Pedroletti showed me the imaging & explained to me what was going on & how he could fix it. Surgery day was easy. He & his staff were so kind & helped me calm my nerves through just small talk & being friendly. Everything was just as he said it would be. It's now been 3 months since my surgery & I'm so glad I had it done with him. I didn't realize the impact it would make on the quality of my life. Now that I don't have the mouth issues, I no longer feel anything in my mouth. I realize that I had been living with pain & discomfort & that's suddenly gone! I'm so grateful to Dr. Pedroletti!
