I ordered flowers online from Barb's for the first time a couple of months ago. It was for an important occasion and I upgraded to the highest price I could in order to get the best and fullest bouquet. That arrangement looked NOTHING like the one in the picture advertised on the shop's website and I was more than upset that I'd spent nearly $70 on something that if I had been in town visiting, I could have gone to Freddy's and gotten for $20. I was quite embarrassed when I saw a picture of the actual bouquet from the recipient. Thankfully, she loved the flowers even though I was aghast. I decided to give Barb's a second try today since I needed flowers again for someone in Roseburg. This time, my budget wasn't as big and so I went with just a standard bouquet that was $33 plus delivery. I just received a picture of the flowers and am again overwhelmingly embarrassed by the arrangement. At least this time the arrangement has a 360 degree orientation like the picture online shows, but it is still a far cry from the fullness depicted. The color choice of flowers is different, but I understand that a florist will substitute for another color or type of flower if they don't have any of the depicted ones in stock. And that is perfectly fine with me. However, I do expect the arrangement to look at least 80-90% similar in fullness even if they must use substitutions. After the first order, I thought maybe I was just a jerk with unreasonably high standards. Now I see that wasn't the case. Have a look for yourself at the picture I received as confirmation in my email and the picture of what was actually received. Thank goodness the person who got the flowers was simply delighted by the surprise. Next time, I'll look elsewhere for a go-to florist in Roseburg. read more

I am not a local. I have driven by the shop and like what I saw and remembered the name for when I needed to send flowers to my Aunt. Lovely warm decor from the outside of this business. I have never been inside. I had called and gotten a hold of Barb and placed two orders 3 days apart. One for my Aunt's Birtday and one for Valentines Day. I was specific about what I wanted for both deliveries. And when to deliver. I received a call back when they were not able to find the color of blooms of a plant that I wanted. So they incorporated the color elsewhere in the basket. She was very helpful with all my questions. The shop put together a beautiful English garden basket with chocolates that my Aunt adored and is still talking about. They delivered the basket at the time I asked. The second delivery did not follow exactly what I had asked for and did not deliver at the time I asked. I had thought she would have difficulty with Lillies indoors. It turns out that she loves Lillies and does not have the same breathing issues as my mother and me. Thank goodness. They did inclued the 3 yellow Roses I has asked for . Over all the arrangements were above and beyond gorgeous. My Aunt loved them !!! I will be using Barb's Flowers again in the future. The deliver driver was absolutely a dall. A friend sent me an arrangement from this florist and it was terrible. My friend got ripped off big time. After I sent her a picture of what I received, she was really upset and showed me a picture of what she had chosen from a series of pictures that were presented to her as representative of what I would receive. The one I got looked nothing like the picture. There were only two flowers in the arrangement with a lot of mismatched greenery. I called direct to Barb's Flowers over the phone from Bend Or and specifically ask for a bouquet of Stargazer Lilies and Curl Willow along with other flowers for my Aunt whom has been stricken with serious medical problems so really wanted to make sure they provided her with a beautiful bedside arrangement. No Stargazers, No Curly Willow, No added Flowers just green fillers. When I seen the pictures of the flowers, I called to let them know what kind of flower shop doesn't delivery what you ordered but dictates the Price they want for that order! They offered nothing, but sorry we had no Stargazers. Why didn't they call to let me know, so I could order from another Flower Shop I asked, Sorry she replied! I ordered a bouquet of flowers to send to my best friend who was having a bad day and decided to try out Barb's Flowers. Their online ordering site was easy enough, but I didn't receive any confirmation (email or call) to verify that the shop received my order. The bouquet I chose was full, bright and beautiful, a perfect picker-upper! The bouquet my friend received had 75% less flowers, was mostly leaves and wasn't even in the same color scheme as my original order! My friend hates roses so the bouquet I chose had no roses, of course the bouquet she received had several. I understand that sometimes the flowers used in stock images are not available or in season. However, if the store didn't have any of the flowers used in the photo (not even different ones with similar colors) then they shouldn't be advertising that product for sale. The only reason I am giving Barb's two stars is because they made the bouquet quickly and got it to her the same day I ordered it. read more
