She had a tough start, but the teachers were patient and kind and helped her adjust. It wasn't very long before she would light up when she saw them. It was my first experience with daycare as well and everyone was very supportive, answering any questions I had, making recommendations for my daughter based on what they had seen and their experience; it really helped to calm my anxiety. I have always felt that she is safe and well cared for there. She has grown immensely in her time there and I truly believe it is because of the effort of the teachers. We get weekly lesson plans and daily updates of what they're doing and how it contributes to her growth. We had our first parent teacher conference and the teacher showed up prepared with observations and opportunities for my daughter. You can tell they care about the kids and their growth. I really feel as though the teachers are a part of my team and I don't think my daughter would have grown as much as she has without them. I would recommend Tutor Time to anyone who is looking for a safe, fun, welcoming environment for their child.

Let me preface my review by saying that I do have high expectations when someone watches my child…read more I am happy to pay whatever dollar amount, but inconsistent care is not acceptable. We moved in from out of state and I looked at 2 daycares. A national chain that used with a curricular approach and TLC. We chose TLC, because of the low infant to 'teacher' ratio, which is 3 to 1. The facility is nice and people were nice enough. Pricing was high for this market, but expected at that level of staffing. The first week or so were a bit of a transition, which we expected. My son didn't sleep well there and stopped holding his bottle and being as active as normal. I chalked this up to a big move and change of daycares. After about 2 weeks things started to get a little strange, whenever we picked up my son he was either sleeping or being fed. We never saw him on the floor playing with other kids. The other kids were always being fed or sleeping. Granted we weren't there long stretches of time, but I heard parents say the same thing to the workers. In week 3, we showed up to drop off my son and the infant room did not have a normal teacher. The fill in from the toddler room stated she didn't know where anyone was. She also stated she understood if we didn't want to leave him with her. All of this struck us as strange. We decided based on gut to leave. I emailed the management and expressed my concern about a lack of backup and system in place to deal with this type of situation. The reply from management was 'these things happen especially with bad weather.' The problem with this statement is that day did not have bad weather. We took the weekend to think about it and thought to give it one more shot. We tried to make an appointment with management and they kept pushing the date to later in the week. This should have been telling that they were not receptive to our concerns. We took my son to the daycare and the lead teacher was in the room. She apologized for the lack of a teacher on the prior Friday. She said the teacher who is normally there had an issue late night at her apartment. We left our son and decided my wife would go back to check. She did and the normal early morning teacher was very sick and talking to the lead teacher. They both seemed surprised my wife showed up. My wife found my son in the crib with a dirty diaper screaming. He had obviously been crying for a while. The two teachers had been in the other room talking evidently not paying attention to the crying of my son or other children. Ultimately, the number of incidents in a compressed time made us switch daycares. For some reason the management decided it was necessary to write an email telling me why all my concerns were baseless after we pulled him. Additionally, they stated no other children had been pulled in the past 11 years. This is patently false. A child at our new daycare was originally at TLC. I do not think they mistreat children, but in the week after being at TLC my son had reengaged with the new kids at his new daycare. He was scooting around laughing with the other kids and playing with the teacher. This is exactly how he interacted in his prior daycare. I am sure this review will send them through the roof, but it is all true. I am giving it 2 stars, cause the facility is nice.

They have zero control over the environment and have a lot of throwing of toys and other objects. There was an incident of inappropriate behavior that was never properly addressed or handled. They tend to ignore any issues and just agree that it isn't ok.... yeah we know. I had advised them that we will be leaving due to all of this and the teachers inappropriate behavior. The next day I was charge for the next month a week and a half early. Overall, this is by far the ABSOLUTE WORST experience I have ever had with child care. Completely unprofessional environment. This place has really went downhill. We used to love this place and loved the staff but as time…read morecontinued and our kid continued to grow we noticed that it was difficult to keep this place staffed. Sometimes they would staff the young kids rooms with fresh faces without enough training to provide parents the lesson plans they have for their children. So the kids would be left roaming free doing whatever they wanted. There would be times that the kids were finally calm and was learning how to self regulate their emotions and then a new teacher comes in and changes the atmosphere. And sometimes they would assign teachers who gag when it comes to potty training kids which sets some kids back because they are thinking that they are doing something wrong with the reaction that teacher is giving. There is no consistency with these teachers and they keep rotating all the teachers around which causes chaos. There hasn't been any more lesson plans given to the parents because the teachers never know which class they will be in. There has been times where I would come in early to pick up my child, only to hear the tablet speakers blasting and the children staring at the tablet and watching DannyGo. There are other times where I would come in and hang out with my kid a bit in the morning and smell the strong odor of marijuana on a teacher as she walks in to start her day. They aren't always consistent to checking in your kids into the classroom so you can look on the app and see how their day is going by either looking at the posts from the teachers or logging into the live video feed but only if they are checked in by the teachers. They are very adamant when it comes to parents checking in their children but aren't when it comes to teachers checking in their children. Overall, we used to love this place and loved the staff that were meant to teach. There are still some people there from when our kid started and we love them, but we can see that them being short staff is effecting them. These teachers play such a huge roll in these children's lives so it's important to keep them happy and honest. When I talk to another parent they were noticing a difference in the teachers' attitudes as well. So seeing some of these teachers' patience running thin shows that they need some extra training because kids will be kids and they need guidance. We also didn't appreciate when the the director Richelle took 9 days to respond to us about some concerns we had when it came to them being short staffed and causing us issues because they were not able to care for our child. Child care is expensive enough so waiting 9 days for a statement to be corrected only to get charged a late fee in the process while waiting is ridiculous. Really wish Ashley was the director because she is always prompt with responses and she is so caring and respected amongst all of her peers and children. The children all love her and listen to her. She knows how to handle difficult situations and how to properly de-escalate any issue with both adults and children. Hoping this place gets better in the near future for the children.
