My husband and son have both been going to Barbershop Jack for their haircuts. They usually go together, but they got off schedule, so I've been taking my son lately. It's super easy to book an appointment online, and everyone is always friendly and welcoming. The shop has a great atmosphere, and my son loves that it's a real barbershop instead of a kids' haircut place. My son sees Joey, and he's fantastic. He always does a great job and makes the experience enjoyable. They even have drinks if you want. If you're looking for a great local barbershop with a cool vibe and talented barbers, I definitely recommend Barbershop Jack! read more

Some of the most committed relationships I've had in my life have been with my cars... and my barber. When I moved to Phoenix a little while ago, I was dreading finding a new barber. In fact, I even went back to Houston several times before taking the plunge and trying a new guy in Phoenix. After doing some research online, and considering several barbershops, I decided to go with Barbershop Jack. Barbershop Jack is located on High Street in Desert Ridge. There's plenty of free parking either on the street, the surface lots surrounding the entertainment district, or the parking garage. Part of what I like about Barbershop Jack is that they're open on the later side for a barbershop. Which makes it easier with work and everything. It's a good looking and clean barber shop too. My barber is Nick. He's a friendly guy and he has done a good job cutting my hair. I brought him a picture of what I was looking for and he pulled it off. He asks you before he cuts a certain length, which is awesome. There's nothing worse than getting more hair cut than you told your barber. Nothing you can do at that point. Nick makes sure there's no risk of that. After your cut, they will put some hot lather on you, a warm towel on your face, and massage you with a back massager for 30 seconds or so. It's a nice touch. My only real complaint is that the haircuts aren't cheap at $45 a pop. I researched 4 other barbershops and Barbershop was the second most expensive. With your tip, you're paying a pretty penny for a haircut. I understand part of it is the location. While I wish their rates were a little cheaper, they do a good job. And after your fresh cut, there are plenty of bars and restaurants in the area if you'd like to make an evening out of it. read more

They were friendly and it's a good environment. Except I asked my barber to cut the top of my head only a half an inch shorter than it was and he proceeded to cut it 2 and a half inches shorter. Now I am unable to style my hair. He also destroyed the crown of my head and I now have permanent hairs that stick up no matter what I do. read more

Service is nice and the location and vibe are friendly but I've got 2 chopped ass haircuts here, came back to give them a second chance and definitely disappointed... ESPECIALLY for the price you're paying. read more

Go see Nina, she is awesome. Great space, and I can't say this enough. Nina is top notch. I had a barber for 8 years I saw when I lived in Long Beach and she made him look like a rookie. read more

Over five years of experiencing this shop, I know the service and hospitality given from owners to clients is way above average--exceptional. Don and Jill are superb at hospitality. The greeting is always warm, welcoming, and accommodating when possible. read more

A busy Friday at 5:00 p.m. I walked in and was out in 25 minutes with an outstanding cut. Unrushed and friendly, Barber Joe was great.

Great shop! Friendly staff! Always does a great job. Weekends are busy.. perfect to go during the week but, always willing to take walk ins.

Such a great barbershop and Maro is awesome. Very personable and professional. He did an amazing job cutting my hair! The shop is very clean and professional. I come here even though I hate the parking at high street, i deal with it just for their great service. Thanks Maro! read more

100% recommend. Should've been coming here all along. Saw Chad, he crushed it. Great experience.

I've tried a few barbershops in Phoenix but I've finally found my favorite. Barbershop Jack is phenomenal. Don, the owner and one of the barbers, is hands down a standup act and goes the extra mile for his customer. As soon as you walk in they offer you a drink: water, soda, or a beer. Awesome. I got married recently and I had Don trim my beard and hair, and he went above and beyond. I come once a month. My one piece of advice is to always make an appointment. This place is busy and popular, which reflects their quality, and so trying to walk in and get an appointment at the end of the day may be hard. Call ahead or use their website to book! read more

I stopped in the very last minute and got a great haircut and some pomade. It's a very clean store and everyone was quite professional. It is a tad on the expensive side but nevertheless a good experience. read more

Becca is the BEST of the BEST. She's not only professional but is great with all ages. From kids cuts to custom fades she's the BEST in the BIZ. Run don't walk her appointments book out fast! read more

Hands down the best barbershop I've been to in the Valley. I've been coming here consistently over the last year now and I've always received a great cut from each barber I've had. Don, the owner, is my usual go-to, but when I'm in dire need, I'll book with anyone as I know they're all incredibly talented. The shop is really nice and clean. The location within High Street is impeccable as well. I often order takeout from Humble Bistro or Hula's prior to my appointment and pick it up on my way out. read more

I wish there was another category for 10 stars!!!Don is an amazing individual, human, and business leader. Me and son walked in to see if my son's hair could be fixed from the day before from another salon. Don introduced us to Ron who immediately fixed my son instantly. Ron is amazing stylist so look no farther. He's an artist. What Don did next doesn't happen ever.....and as I write this I'm still blown away by his generosity. Don refused to let me pay. I insisted but Don refused again. This is an old school yet modern way of people being kind, generous, and helping others out. I didn't expect this. Far from it. There is a reason why some people are just successful....they get the long game. Thank you Don and Ron. read more

Dude!!!! Finally a barbershop that knows what's up!!!! Everytime I go here, the barber does an amazing job, exactly how I want my hair and I'm alittle picky. Showed a picture to Matthew there from one of my wedding photos that my wife loved how I looked, showed him and he literally gave me the same haircut I had on my wedding! Was perfect!!!!! Amazing atmosphere, very friendly staff! Keep grinding y'all and ignore the haters!!!!! read more

A great place...clean and professional. Lee cut my hair and did a great job. Lots of parking

Live in Desert Ridge, but have been going to a barber for 10+ years in Norterra. I needed a cut badly before heading out of town & he couldn't see me so I thought I'd try Barbershop Jack. After reading reviews, it looked like only two barbers had good reviews, but they were booked. I thought "who cares? I don't need a difficult cut, so anyone should be able to do it." I got a guy who had just moved here. Easily the worst cut I've had since Supercuts. Had me in & out in 15 min, and seeing what he was doing, that even felt like hours. Cool vibe & great songs playing, but I'm going back to my guy Manny @ V's Norterra. read more

Best barbershop around. JJ was a true artist and even took the time to educate me on my hair and what would be the best look for it. Hands down the best haircut I have ever had! read more

Donnie cut my hair today and did a great job. I like how he paid a lot of attention to the small details. If you're going here ask for Donnie! read more

This is a nice place. Had my hair cut by Ace last night. He gave me a nice high fade with a little trim on the top. He gave me a personal guarantee that this haircut would bring me success with the ladies. I am happy to report that when I met my wife later that evening, she told me that my hair looked so good that she picked up the tab for dinner and then took me home and gave me the business. Wowza!! I'm a happy barbershop jack customer. Thanks ! read more

My son and I have been getting our hair cut here for about a year. After going to different barbers in the area, we finally found our place! JJ is the man and everyone else there is friendly and nice. They make you feel welcome and comfortable the second you walk in. Best barber in the north valley! read more

Nice place, not the best haircut I've had in my life..the shop seems to care more about quantity than quality.

We are huge fans! My husband and four boys are regulars here. Josh is absolutely fantastic. He is very attentive and precise. He pays attention and delivers a quality service. read more

This is a great shop. I took my two sons today for a haircut and the cut was great. The attention to detail and customer service was exceptional. I would recommend this place to anyone. Compared to a previous shop I went to where the customer service was horrible. I am definitely happy to have found this place. read more

I ve been coming to this shop for the last 3 years. Chris and Don are top notch barbers. The vibe and professionalism of this shop is unmatched in the valley. Being a native I've been to all kinds of barbershops in the valley (V's, Floyd's, etc) and no shop gets it done like this one. They have a convenient online booking geared towards the busy young professional so you never have to wait. They always have cold drinks and cold beer in stock and ready for you in order to enhance your experience. Additionally, the quality of the cut you will receive will definitely have people asking where you go to get your haircut. It's worth the drive, price, and changing barbers. read more

Barbershop Jack - Fresh cut by Chris - Barbers Near Me - Phoenix, Arizona

I have traveled for years and have visited some of the best executive barbers in many large cities. While in Phoenix after Christmas I really needed a hair cut, strait razor shave and goatee trim. I saw that Barbershop Jacks was highly rated online and booked an hour appointment online. This was a fantastic experience! Absolute pros. We are planning to move to Phoenix in the next year and I will be a regular at this establishment. Many thanks. read more

Clean, professional, and do a great job. Dony cuts my hair and is great, whole staff is great.

Easy to like Barbershop Jack- first of all I'm there for a haircut. That's gotta be good AND IT IS. Then-gotta like the barber/stylist and I do. Don, the owner is great at his craft and a good family man who listens and talks- like a friend. Then there is the ambiance, antique chairs fit in with the buzz of friendliness that I appreciate. All told, nothing is missing. I'm at peace in the barber chair of my younger days, being made to look better than I did when I entered, and enjoying a friendly, comfortable environment. Oh, price is going up but it was and is the least expensive haircut I've had in ten years. Barbershop Jack-yes! read more

Not in my city, but needing a haircut, I was fortunate to be close to this highly rated establishment. An online reservation system and a very competent stylist did a very good job. read more

Don, the owner cut my hair. Awesome guy. These guys "get it". Clean, service oriented, beverages offered, good conversation and absolute great cut. Five star place and so happy I switched. Jeff H. Phoenix read more

Was in Phoenix for work and couldn't get my haircut before coming so looked online and found Jack's. Honestly, couldn't be happier they made time for me as a walk in and Ace did an excellent job. He explained every option he was giving me for cutting my hair and trimming my beard. Made me wish I lived here to get my hair cut here every time. I would suggest making an appointment because I did have to wait, lucky for me I wasn't in a rush and hadn't eaten so ate nearby and came back. read more

My second time in to see Don yesterday. Spectacular cut, trim and attention to detail again! Strongly suggest booking a few days ahead but well worth the wait. Not only do I look great but I feel great! read more

This is a primo barbershop. The whole vibe of the place is modern with a little vintage (old-fashioned chairs) and very hip. Don has a great staff that provides excellent service. I would like to especially thank Becca for doing such a great job on my husband. He kept growing his hair and couldn't figure out what he wanted to have done with it ..so he didn't do anything and he looked like Albert Einstein. Becca took care of him and cut his hair shorter (even though I liked his hair longer) and after a few days, I love the cut and it suits him to a tee .. and he even looks younger. Thanks again, Becca .. and thanks Don for recommending Becca. read more

First time visit here and I was a walk in. Was greeted as soon as I walked in the door and had my information taken and maybe waited 5 minutes for a cut. Barber was great, told the gentleman what cut I wanted and went to work. He took note of my head shape and did his best in ensuring that my hair cut was perfect. In and out in about 45 minutes. Would come back again when I'm in the area. read more

Love this place! I had a great experience with Ed and will definitely be going back! Would definitely recommend!!

First visit here was great. My barber was friendly and was thoughtful when asking what I wanted out of my haircut. They do a straight razor shave of the back of the neck (though not around the ears) and hot towel with every haircut, as they should. HOWEVER, my second, and last, visit was with a different barber. He did a fine job cutting my hair, but he did not put on any shaving cream when using the straight razor on my neck. This HURT and I have several very noticeable cuts on my neck as a result. He then put a hot towel over my head instead of neck, put shaving cream on my neck and then wiped it off. This shows me that not everyone cutting hair here went to any sort of barber school. I am still upset that I paid someone money to cut up my neck. read more

I started bringing my 4 year old son here after getting tired of paying for awful haircuts at the kids haircut places. We see Don, who does an awesome job and is just as patient, if not more, with my shy little guy. He takes a minute to sit down with him in the waiting area first and let's him get comfortable before starting which I SO appreciate. And his hair always turns out looking insanely dapper! We have seen Martin too, he also did a great job. read more
