Since I have let my hair grow out for a bit longer than normal, the girl taking care of me had to use a trimmer to take some of the hair down. Which, was a good touch. Then, she took her time shaving my head. It was a pretty legit shave. I was dozing in and out with how relaxed I was. Talked tattoos, which, is always good. Then, I got my beard lined up. All in all, it was a very good experience. However, even after getting in the barber chair the proper way...I ended up stepping on the foot rest. I got chided. Besides not paying attention at the end and stepping off the rest, place was definitely a good spot. Oh, and, by the time I was leaving the shop definitely had a good few customers in it.

Every man values their hair or their beard and wants to be satisfied every time they leave the barbershop. I myself get a haircut every 2-3 weeks and always want to leave with the best service possible. There are many barber shops all around, everyone has their own opinion on which is the best. I decided to check out this new barber shop called Elevated Barber Studio located in Joliet. It was the best experience I've ever had and left the barbershop very satisfied. The barber shop looked amazing for just making its grand opening last year. The inside of the barber shop was phenomenal. The lighting was bright and stunning. Every barber had their own station that included a ring light, a large mirror and their storage container. The nice gray wood floors complimented the shop very well as the shop had a darkish gray tone. In the middle of the shop there were four black couches with three large tvs above them. This made me feel like I was at home, I was so comfortable while waiting to get my haircut. The shop looked very clean and organized compared to other shops I've been to. The service was excellent. This barber shop takes appointments and walk-ins. I made my appointment on an app called booksy which was very simple to use. On the app you select which barber you would like to book for your appointment. The barber then has a list of available times which you select to book with them. The barber then has to confirm your appointment and that's all to make your appointment. The service was amazing, right when I got there for my appointment I was immediately taken care of. Once I sat on that chair my barber started to work right away. I asked for a burst fade and got exactly what I wanted in the matter of only 40-45 minutes. The fade was as best as it could possibly get, giving me exactly what I wanted and expected. I left the barbershop feeling as confident and satisfied as I can be. Overall I have to give this barber shop 5 out of 5 stars. Everything was perfect from the looks of the shops to the actual service you receive. I highly recommend trying this barbershop if you're ever looking for a new place to get your haircut, you will be guaranteed the best service and quality you can get.

I hadn't had my hair cut since 10/2019 and was way overdue. I messaged the salon on FB looking to schedule an apt, and she was able to get me in right away, for which I was grateful. The salon maintained social distancing requirements, and the stylist wore a mask the entire time. My stylist appeared very knowledgeable about curly hair and was able to give me some good feedback about products and styling. The stylist (unfortunately I don't remember her name) told me that due to the amount of damage to my hair, she was going to have to take off 3-4 inches in length. My hair doesn't grow very quickly so I was very reluctant but eventually agreed to it for the sake of hair health. It was sort of traumatic and after I saw all the hair on the floor, I almost cried! But my hair is so much healthier and I am getting really good curls now, so it was worth it! Will definitely return!
