The food...two burritos and three tacos were delicious. My complaint is the food, delivered by doordash in a timely manner was absolutely stone cold?? My husband and I stopped in for a quick lunch today and it was the worst food both of us have ever had. I got 2 soft tacos, one chicken and one ground beef. The chicken had no flavor whatsoever. It truly tasted of nothing. The beef however, was so salty that it was inedible. The salsa was watered down and also had no flavor. My husband got a burrito with a number of toppings and the only thing he could taste were the jalapeños. Not a single ingredient had an ounce of flavor. How can you mess up Mexican food so badly?? Ok, impossible to not love this place. 1. Vegetarian options including Tofu/Vegan(haven't tried this yet as I am a huge fan of simple beans/rice). 2. Generous portions including FREE chips&salsa EACH that makes most "real" mexican sit down restaurant chips look cheap. 3. Actual discount in prices for no meat(vegetarian) rather than paying the same for a chicken enchilada minus chicken at most "real" mexican sit down restaurants. 4. Great ingredients. The guy making my food behind the counter looked like a homeless person, his hair was dripping of oil and his pants was below his boxer shorts and attire was soiled from top to bottom, I guess this store doesn't have any dress and grooming standards for their employees. First off I don't know who thought steaming a tortilla was a good idea even taco bell stopped doing that in 2006. The steak was nice and tender but not much flavor, good pinto beans I will say. The rice is bland and has no flavor. Their salsa is fresh but tastes like the didn't cook the tomatoes which gives their salsa a straight tomato taste which is a shame since they roast pablanos for one of their salsas that would taste great other wise. All and all I probably won't go out of my way to eat here again but maybe they fix some of the issues and it's better next time. read more

I was not at all impressed with Barberitos the previous times I tried it, but I decided I'd give it another shot since it had been a while. I put the order in ahead of time online and my boyfriend picked it up. The workers kept trying to convince him that another person's order was his when it wasn't. They eventually thought they sorted it out, but when we got home there was nothing on my bowl that I ordered. It was just chicken, lettuce and tomatoes. There were 10 toppings missing, including guacamole that I paid extra for, dressing etc. I understand forgetting a topping or two, but I don't know how you get an order so wrong. I brought it back with the receipt so they could see what I ordered, and the employees couldn't have cared less about the mistake they made or the inconvenience. They made me feel bad for even asking the toppings to be added, and it was really awkward. Avoid this place! read more

This place is terrible. The food was awful. It lacked flavor and greasy. My daughter got a stomachache after a few bites so I returned her taco salad. I wish I would have done the same for my chicken nachos. $30 (with coupon and tip) was not worth it. I would love to have my money back. While it may not be readily apparently, Barberitos is in fact a chain, and it's pretty much in the same vein as all of those other fast casual Tex-Mex places. It has the freshness of Chipotle but with the vegetable and topping selection of Moe's. They are very vegetarian friendly as they have tofu and lard-free refried and black beans. Portions are pretty sizable for the price, and the base price is slightly cheaper than the other chains, however they do upcharge for things like sour cream so it ends up about the same. I personally wasn't too thrilled with their salsa bar, but the food is good enough that it didn't really need salsa to make it taste right unlike some other places. If you're looking for a quick and filling lunch or dinner it's a great place. read more

Stopped in here on a whim one busy weekend night because the restaurant a couple of doors down had a wait. We weren't sure what to expect but saw it was set up similar to Chipotle, with a similar menu and ordering style. I ordered a chicken fajita burrito and we also got some cheese dip to eat with our chips. Pros: the kids meals were a good value and enjoyed by the kids. We appreciated the salsa bar, and I'm a fan of the nugget ice which is rare but they had in their ice machine along with the self-serve drink refills. Cons: the food wasn't that great. Despite the numerous toppings on my burrito, it was still quite bland. I told my husband it tasted like I was trying to make copycat Chipotle/Cafe Rio/Costa Vida burritos at home with little success. His spicy steak burrito was much spicier than he expected which surprised me - he usually enjoys a lot of spice. The cheese dip (I think we got white - not sure the menu name) was more salty and runny than anything else. Because of this, we probably won't return to Barberitos. read more
