Called at 11am to see if I could get a cut that evening, and was booked to see Connor. Haircut was awesome, but even better was getting to shoot the breeze with Connor and Josh. I was enjoying chatting with them so much that I thought Connor was done in 15 minutes! As it turns out, it was around 25 minutes, and the quality of the cut was A+! And the value, well, in the city my barber charged me almost twice as much, and my last NW barber was more expensive than here as well. Would recommend to anyone who gets a fade, this place is legit. I now have a new barber! read more

These barbers are the best at design and simple cut. Real respectable employees. The atmosphere is very pleasant and the cuts are definitely worth the prices. I strongly recommend checking the place out definitely a hidden gem read more

My son typically goes into the city to get his hair cut services but he had heard of this place from a friend and wanted to give it a try. He said that Connor was a great conversationalist and made him feel comfortable and he loved his haircut! read more

Great haircut, Vicky is a master! Fun conversation and good advice on getting the most out of the look. My new go-to.

Went there today because my sons needed a haircut. I called as I pulled into the lot to see if they could take a couple of walk-ins & was told that there were 2 people waiting, but if we didn't mind joining the wait they'd be happy to have us. Parked and walked in. Immediately we were greeted warmly by Barry, who I think answered the phone. We sat and waited. My sons were in awe of the talents of Trevor, Barry, and Asha. Our wait was short and Asha took care of my 8 year old. He wanted a top side-part with a short fade in the back. She took the time to listen and started cutting away. My 6 year old had the pleasure of Barry giving him his trip. His hair is short and just needed a clean up to the back & sides. A short trim of the front to make it "spiky." This place is completely professional and their cuts came out fabulous! Forget those nasty gimmicky "kid places!" We have found our forever home for haircuts for the boys! My husband wants a shave from Trevor next time! Thanks so much Barry & Asha! Looking forward to having Trevor smooth out my husband's face soon! We will certainly be back! read more

Got a haircut last minute for my wedding and it looked AMAZING, showed a picture of what I wanted and that was literally what I got. Great haircut, excellent vibe, and very hygienic place. Totally recommended. read more

One star because i cannot give less points. The vibe was nice and the place is interesting with all the action figures and stuff. However, I got a haircut with Liam, and he just fucked up my hair. asked him for an specific haircut with a picture of MYSELF as a reference, and yet, he didn't even got close to what I asked for. also my beard. he barely touched my beard, didn't do the whole service, didn't line up my beard, and still, charged me for the whole amount for a mediocre job. I will NEVER Go back to this place again. read more

Connor is a phenomenal barber, always takes care of you and can always count on a solid haircut. Have also gotten cuts from Josh and Vicky and the same is true, everyone in this shop is great. read more

Amazing place, highly recommend going there for your next haircut. The vibe in the place is amazing, everyone is very nice.

Just walked in with my fiancé who's Hispanic and I'm middle eastern, the guy inside was obviously white, we said hello with smiles, he gave us the weirdest look like what the fuck we were doing there like we didn't belong. It was just an uncomfortable vibe. He didn't stop to say hey or hi and ask what we needed or to wait since he was with a customer. Then I seen they don't even take a debit/credit card, please step into 2019. It felt like a race thing, just the vibe was off anyone whos experienced that knows what I mean, maybe I'm wrong all I know is the vibe I got was not welcoming & we felt very out of place. To the owner: oh you're shaking? Imagine how we felt? And now I'm shaking more. What could my motivation be a free haircut? Don't worry I have a great full time job I don't need to post negative reviews for freebies how insulting of you. What happened to the customer is always right? Your barber did NOT greet us and gave us a weird look making us uncomfortable. We got up after A couple minutes cause we didn't have cash just credit. debit card like most people do nowadays. Check your barber and tell him to be alittle more welcoming and warm. Yes he's with a customer but all stylists I ever seen STILL take a couple min to say hi how are you what brings you in. He just ignored us as did the older gentleman behind him. read more

My husband got a great cut and probably the best beard trim I've seen. Great work, Trevor! Best part? They do it old school. read more

I arrived waaay early since an appointment I had nearby ended sooner than I thought it would. Even then the guy cutting my hair apologized, which really I should be the one apologizing for being so early. A lot of the staff was there and they were super friendly. The place looks great. All i got was a simple haircut, but I grew my hair out too long and it was starting to look a mess. The barber got in done quickly and it looked great! Definitely a better place than the sports clips next to my house that I could just walk to, it was definitely worth the trip. The next time I stop procrastinating about a haircut I'll definitely come back if I'm still in Arlington Heights. Thanks again for the great cut! read more

Been a consistent customer for the past 3 years. Would highly recommend ..best fade in the area..no fuss..in and out...family owned..check it out! read more

My barber has been Rita for a couple of month so I followed her here. Technics and equipments are still sharp as before or course. Rita is also very understanding about how you want to do your hair and brings a good conversation. The barbershop is very nice as well. And price is reasonable. read more

Hair grows back, but bad experiences never really go away. I came to Corey's because of a bad experience elsewhere, and think this might be my new place for a while. I called in and Trevor answered the phone so I got an appointment to see him. In the entry area there is a sign on the way with some history, and it says father and son open barber shop. I'm assuming Trevor is the son and now took it over, but I could be wrong. There's also a picture of a lady and she looks like the lady that runs the place and the cash register. Anyway, it looks like a family operation which is pretty cool. I like going to smaller, family run places where I know I am helping their business. Some bigger places are owned by corporations, and you'll never meet the owners. I like this place. It's laid back, they play decent music, they aren't trying to show off. Trevor seems like a pretty cool guy, although he doesn't say much. I'm not looking for chit chat, just a decent haircut at a good price. I think it's like $18 for the men's cut. I was paying about $26 at the other place and they sucked. read more

The barbers and person at the front desk reluctantly put masks on, then took them off when they thought no-one was looking. The little boy at the front desk then did his best Karen impression. The haircut was also terrible, a #2 is not supposed to be a buzz cut. First and last time. read more

More of a salon, no straight razor for lining, stylist shaved my neck with disposable razor I'm hoping It was a new one. Ok cut not good. First and last time. read more

I found this place when looking for a place to get a haircut and shave before my wedding. I am very glad I chose this place as they did an excellent job prepping me for my wedding and the other times I have been there. I believe Trevor was the one who has helped me the times I have been there. I highly recommend this place for a good haircut and shave for a reasonable price!!! read more

Excellent haircut from Connor today! Love the new anime decor. Very friendly, clean shop. Not sure wtf some of these reviews are talking about read more

After a couple years of getting haircuts here, I had a bad experience on my recent visit. The guy with the long hair had plenty to say about his attitude about protecting customers from COVID-19. He needs an attitude check because it's not my fault or any of your customers' fault that you're inconvenienced by the required protections. He ended up following me out of the place, clearly looking for a physical confrontation, then stood on the sidewalk screaming (much to the amusement of passersby down the sidewalk). As for the haircut, it was just as bad. It was uneven and I had to go to another barber who pointed out all the mistakes made by the person who cut my hair. Times are tough, but giving a bad haircut, then triggering and screaming like a crybaby are not good ways to help your business. read more

Really great, old school barber shop with actual barbers. The cost is reasonable, the service is great, and they can and happily do a hot shave with a straight razor. I found them when looking for someone who was skilled at beard trimming and my beard always looked great. Cash only. read more

Anna is the best! Very attentive, she took care of my specific haircut with ease. I was very pleased with how she treats her clients. From the moment I walked in I was treated like a long time customer. I have been back twice and plan to continue going here! read more

I have been searching the Mt Prospect/Arlington Heights area for a good Barber shop that deals with beard trims too. My search has always ended at a Hair cutlery or a $6.00 hair cut Bo Ricks style place, well not this time! I came across North Arlington Barber Shop!! Hands down best cut I have ever received! Beard trim was perfect, not too much cut just shaped and cleaned up, if you are bearded and live in this area I highly recommend this shop! Not over priced (ranged in the same ballpark as a hair cutlery) especially if your looking for a bead trim, they use straight razor to line up the cheek line, jaw line and neck! 100% going back read more

Rita was amazing and she gave me such a great and classy cut! An awesome straight razor shave on the back of my neck and a really nice small definition on my hair part. $18 a haircut and $3 for a wash? You can't go wrong here read more

I've always jumped around looking for a good barber and after being disappointed time after time with the results of other places in my area, I jumped on Yelp and trusted the reviews of my fellow Yelpers and I'm glad I did. I've been getting my haircut with Rita for the past few months and I always leave satisfied with the end results. She's always very accommodating with her schedule and is very friendly and polite. Prices are reasonable and I do call/message ahead of time. I have relatively fine straight hair and Rita does an excellent job on getting the look I want. read more

I've been going to the shop since I was a child and my Mom took me there. Nearly 45 years. It's to the point now where I can walk in, sit down and not even have to tell Barry how to cut my hair. He just knows! My brother and father have gone there in the past as well. Never a bad hair cut! And always fun to visit. Fun for kids. Barry does magic and his artwork will take your breath away. It's more like visiting friends for me than going to get a haircut. Quality and friendliness...always.... Top Notch! read more

The haircut I received here was amazing. Also my barber Connor was on point from beginning to end. Also in general the whole staff is super nice and goes out of there way to make your experience the best it can be. Thank you for helping me and going out of your way when I forgot something in your store! They deserve more than 5 stars. Thank you again, especially to Patty and Connor! read more

This place is awesome. My barber has been Rita. She's awesome. Very good service and friendly environment.

Needed to find a place to get my haircut the week before my wedding. I had some pretty negative experiences with other hair stylists at other shops in the months prior. I stumbled upon Corey's via a recommendation from a friend and decided to give it a try. The barbers there did an amazing job for me to be ready for my wedding. I have sent a handful of people there based on my experience since. If you are looking for a new barber give this place a try. read more

Perfect place to get a quality haircut! Connor is a craftsman at his job and it showed when I went in for the first time. With little direction given to Connor, he picked up on exactly what haircut I wanted and got right to work. Barbershop was extremely clean and I'll definitely be going back! It is CASH only, but there is a bank next door if you forget (like I did). read more

Was hoping to find a new (regular) place to trim my beard. Scheduled an appointment for 12:20 today via their website. At 12:50, I decided not to sit there waiting any longer for my 12:20 appointment and left. What's the point of scheduling appointments if they're not honored?? I'm not unreasonable and can completely understand running a few minutes behind, but at no point was there even any acknowledgement of my appointment, apology for running late, or even a care that I got up to leave. Guess I'll keep looking; but I will NOT be going back here again unless I have a 1/2 day to kill. read more

Been here probably 5-6 times for haircuts, always with Barry. I've generally been very happy with my cuts and the friendly staff there. Best part is always the hot lather on the back of the neck, of course. I'm used to this kind of service costing twice as much, but for $18 for a men's cut this honestly feels like a steal. read more

Quality & Value. Barry did an awesome job with my hair. Great service, great haircut. Thank you!

Asha : cut my hair. Best haircut I ever had. This place is awesome!!! Old school charm

Anna has been cutting my hair for a couple of years, and I am a highly satisfied customer. My hair is a minefield of cowlicks, and Anna has figured out ways to make it look good both when I keep it short in summer and let it get longer during colder months. I listen to her recommendations, and she has never led me wrong. Anna is also quick and efficient, so you don't waste time when you have errands to run. In addition, she tops off the cut with a quick, relaxing shoulder massage, and I leave feeling great and free of tension. Cory, the shop's owner, is an affable and engaging gent who makes it a pleasant place to wait your turn. There aren't many true barber shops remaining, and I am happy that North Arlington Barber Shop is still at it. Sadly, Corey passed away in 2016, and Anna has opened her own shop across the street at Salons by J.C. next to Gail's restaurant and behind Men's Warehouse. Corey was the spirit and personality of the place, and Anna gave me the best haircuts I've had. I wish the shop succeess, but I have followed Anna to her new shop. read more

This place has the best service in all of chicago land. This is a 5/5 business. Trevor consistently cuts my hair to a fade and he goes above and beyond to make sure its perfect. I can say that I have found my forever barber and I will be coming here from now on for my cuts. Definitely recommend this place if you need any sort of grooming for all shapes and sizes! Will come again! read more

After all of this time my boyfriend's been going to his regular shop they have closed due to the unfortunate current situation. I suggested he try out Corey's shop and Conner did an AMAZING job! He came home with a blade fade and no razor burns (like before) my guy looked better than ever! My son loves Trevor, he's the "cool guy with tattoos"! Highly recommend them! Thank you Con and Trevor! read more

I've been there twice now and I have never been disappointed. The staff take their time to ensure you're completely satisfied with the service provided. As for Covid, everyone is masked up, socially distanced, and the equipment is cleaned regularly. The fact that anyone can schedule an appointment online is just the cherry on top. It takes less than five minutes (and allows me to avoid an uncomfortable phone call). Overall it's one of my favorite barber shops. Everyone's super friendly and professional. I can't recommend it enough. read more
