I went to this location because I was waiting on my sister and decided that it was a cool place where I could catch up on some of my Yelp reviews other than using my phone in the car. Automatically you notice that the exterior is dark and cold and its not shiny and new like the other libraries. That is not always a bad thing though. The inside does not have the best lighting and there seems to be a lack of shelf space because there are books on carts everywhere! Either this location has a lack of staff or lazy staff. Not sure of which. I asked the young lady at the check-out desk about using the computer and if I had to sign up due to being a resident of Hillsborough county. She was very helpful and gave me a Computer Access Key Card to use any time I am at a Pinellas County Library. It was easy access and there was no wait time so I was thankful for that for sure. The only issue I had was that there were a lot of computer users that seemed to have bad smokers coughs hacking up hair balls and other unidentified items and the occasional restless homeless person or whino bopping back and forth had me a little on guard. Other than that this library just needs a minor face lift, some TLC for those less fortunate and hotel cubes for the computer are so you don't have to hear or see your neighbors latest finding in their throat. YIKES!

The quality rater for my case called to let me know about my upcoming C&P exams. I know his name if…read moreI am ever asked who it was. I asked him why I had to go to the exams because I was already diagnosed by the VA for these issues. I said, "Okay, please call my lawyer to let her know what was going on". I get a call and an email from my lawyer saying she was dropping my case because this rater said I was being "belligerent". I filed a case to the VA Complaint hotline and who calls me? The rater I had made the complaint about in the first place. He claimed he didn't say it and that lawyers lie, however, how did my lawyer know he and I had gone back and forth about my claim? I wasn't being "belligerent", I just had some questions for him. I sent an email complaint to the White House about him. When he was scheduling my C&P exams, he told me he didn't like the contractor they had scheduled me to see, so I requested another contractor. That didn't work out well for me either because my C&P claim got denied. He then suggested I file a TDIU claim, but forgot to mention I would have to go through more C&P exams for my claim to be accepted. I am currently at 90% service-connected. I am 70% for PTSD, 30% for kidney stones, 10% for diabetes, and 10% for GERD. I have had 4 shoulder operations, 1 on my right and 3 on my left and cannot lift over 20 pounds anymore without my bones flaking off and cutting into my tendons and having more surgeries to take out the bone spurs. I've had 1 hernia operation and currently have 2 hiatal hernias in me now. I've had 2 wrist operations, scoliosis in my neck, bone spurs in my feet, osteoarthritis, high-blood pressure with hypertension, asthma, bulging disks in my back, I also suffer from depression and anxiety. I served in the Marine Corps, Army, and National Guard for 10 years as a military policeman and I'm a OEF disabled veteran. I served until I couldn't serve anymore and nobody in this office cares. I wished they could see how a single parent like me tries to support their child being limited on the jobs I can do. I've lived off of $150.00 a month from food stamps. If I am not a 100% service-connected veteran, I don't know who is? I have a Bachelors Degree that I can't no longer use because of my health issues. I didn't graduate college to draw disability. Shame on you guys for what you are doing to veterans! Karma will find you one day. The government wonders why recruitment in the military is down, well, look and see what you are doing to the veterans of this country. I wouldn't tell any young person to serve after what I have been through with the VA.

Excellent visit, minor hiccup in the signing in process. Overall, the process and visit was fine…read more All of my questions were answered, upon leaving there was no confusion. I left the office knowing the direction I needed to take and the paperwork that was needed for my journey. I am confident that I received the best service and information from Eric. As I navigate through the wicked world of the VA, I am totally confident in the St. Petersburg Regional Office personnel.

Online veterinary technology student. Not impressed! Minus star would be a great option! Avoid this…read moreschool if you have other options. Limited if any support from veterinary technology department. Limited local options for outsourcing internships to more diverse areas of veterinary medicine. It's like the so-so mediocre GP vet clinic that a surrounding community tends to avoid due to a bad reputation. And deserving of it! I am a student who had attended another out of state institution for a RVT program. Pierce College was awesome! Pierce had a great RVT community, great faculty that sincerely cared about student success, it was a feeder school to UC Davis, it had great resources for students, internships, Animal Science electives (extended), hands on labs at their multi million dollar brand new state of the art facility's, 300 acre farm with barn for horses, cattle, goats and sheep great herd health and environmental enrichment projects for students. Small animal surgery suite and state of the art scientific learning labs. This is NOT what you get at SPC. It's very generic, and prides itself on catering to small animals| shelter animals ONLY and they do not seem to give a F&$!? About what you as a student care about learning. No room for that. **Future veterinary students seek to diversify your Animal Science portfolio elsewhere***

Times are tough. Work is tough to find. Continuing education is the name of the game these days…read moreand I'm finding that out. It's been, oh, a few years since I last entered the halls of a higher ed building. 1984 is a few years ago...!!! But I've come to the conclusion it's time to go back to school and this is the place I will gain more learnin'! The teaching staff and admin folks here so helpful and kind. I feel a little awkward~I'm not 23 anymore. Hell, I'm not 43 anymore! But I know my journey through these classrooms will no doubt enrich my life and point me toward a new horizon. I'm excited about my journey. Hospitality seems to be the direction I will travel. I love, love, love people and helping them have fun and this course will allow me to work in major hotels and, hopefully, cruise business. How fun will it be to travel and relocate and make money all at once???!!! I'm not getting any younger and it makes no sense NOT see as much of this awsome world as possible. I'm excited and a little scared! But I know they've got my back and I'll have so much to look forward to after this gig is over. I'll keep you posted!!!
