I am going to be totally honest here, the very first time I met Barbara I did not like her I did not want anything to do with her, she was hired to sale the house I was living in, the house I grew up in all my life, I wasn't mean, but I wasn't nice either to her, I only talked to her when I really had to. But the more she came around she would try to talk to me more and more, then it all changed, she asked me where I was moving, I just looked at her and said hell if I know, that day was the turning point for me, we sat and talked a few hours, remember her job was to sale this house. Barbara told me she would help me find a new place, it was hard for me, knowing the home I grew up in was going to be gone and there wasn't anything I could do. Still at this point I wasn't to worry about moving thinking the house wouldn't sale that fast. ( boy was I wrong), Barbara started taking us around showing us different places, spending more time with her, things changed a lot, she went out of her way for us, and we started to become friends at this point. I will not forget what Barbara told me, "you will know if a house is going to be your home when you walk into it", I asked her how, she told me trust me you will know. I couldn't believe what people do to home when they have to move out, we saw houses that were a mess, we saw houses I that was out of my price, but Barbara did not give up, we were only looking for about 2 weeks, she had other clients, I was working full time, she came over and told me my house was sold, and the people who bought it wanted to close fast, what it came down to, the person that put my house up for sale and the person who bought it did not CARE that me and my family did not have a place to go. they did not care we would be out on the street, but Barbara did she told me trust me I will not let that happen, I knew she did not have to do anything for me at first she wasn't working for me. I wasn't her client on this house. Barbara did keep her promise, she did everything in her power to make sure we were not tossed out onto the street, she went out of her normal area to look for houses for us. I did not expect her to drive 65 miles to look at homes for us but she did more then once. Barbara made house hunting for me go from sad to fun, we would have lunch, we had dinners, and I have to say she was right, we walked into this one house, and from the time I stepped in the front door, I knew it was the house I wanted, Barbara did everything, for us, she took care of everything, From the start she told me we will find your house and I will do everything for you, and she did, she took care of everything from all the paper work, to the inspections, making sure the house was a good one, making sure the neighborhood was a good and safe one. Plus making sure me and my family wasn't out on the street. She called me on a Thursday and asked if we could meet with her, I am thinking now what something happen and I wasn't going to be able to get this house, when we met with her she gave me a envelope with a card in it, I open it and it was my new house keys, she told me the house is now my new home, all I could do was hug her and cry, then she gave me a new front door matt that said Welcome Home, Barbara is a very special person, that will put her all, and give her all to take care of all your wants and needs, she will go the next step to make things happen for you, she wont sit there and let people take advantage of you, like I said she did so much for me and my family she fought for us she found us our home and she was there every step of the way. Its been 3 years now since I have been in my home and to me Barbara is more then just a friend to me she will always be part of my family. We love Barbara. read more
