Bar 7 was recommended to me as a great spot to see the local nightlife by a guy working at the tourist center. After eating dinner nearby on a Saturday night I strolled over here around 9 pm. It was down a dark, slightly deserted street so I wasn't a huge fan of that while trying to walk there. I finally spotted the place when I heard cool music coming from inside and some people were out front on the patio
Inside, the design is very kitschy. It's almost designed like a home, but with a cool mix of random yet modern decor that works well together. There's alot of different rooms, all with comfortable couches and chairs. I ordered a rose wine from the bartender and took a seat to do some people watching (my favorite sport of course). The drinks are very pricey here, the absolute cheapest option is carlsberg beer, which is about $9 a bottle. They have some specialty cocktails for $20 a piece.
The music was good here and it had a nice homey, cozy vibe inside, but the people were not the friendliest.
Since I was there alone I hoped to meet some locals, but that didn't happen. After relaxing for a bit I went back to the bar to get a hoegardeen beer. I left my money on the counter and went back to my seat only to be immediately hunted down by the bartender who claimed I did not pay. I pointed to my money still sitting on the bar. Then she said I did not pay enough and came off as being snobby and rude. Danish krone are not the most easily distinguishable money, and its hard to tell the difference between a 5 coin and a 40 coin in the dark. Give me a break, lady.
After that, I sat back down, enjoyed the music a bit more (cool trancey house vibes) and then decided to head out. Based on the cool look of this place and the fancy cocktail menu, I would have given it a 4, but the high prices, less than friendly service and cold crowd were not the best read more
