The rest of us had a sampler of appetizers. Smoked plum wrapped in bacon with a cranberry relish. Goat cheese toasted on a sweet bread. Pierogi. And for dinner, we had family style. Copper elements can also be found in the tables with the logo of the bar, in the back were 3 big copper beer barrels are put on top of each other and actually supply the bar with beer. The first time I had a nice pasta main dish with broccoli, chicken and dried tomatoes, some ruckus on top. Delicious! The beers on tap like Tyskie and some other dark beer I tried are very nice, so is the tasty coffee. The service is very welcoming and friendly. This restaurant sits right on the square and has outdoor seating. Arrived about 15:00 and was able to grab a table. They have a selection of pizza, build you own pizza, salads and pasta. I settled in a regional beer $2 U.S. and the Sicilian salad $4 U.S. The beer was a typical large glass (16ounces). Very good. The salad was a mix of greens, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese and three large pieces of bread. Excellent salad. While I was enjoying my meal, my colleague had just arrived in town and was walking down to meet me. I ordered a German pizza for us to share. The smallest is 30cm. About $10 U.S. The pizza was thin crust and not dripping in cheese. Just how I like it. A few more bell peppers than I would like, but they used green and yellow which was nice. Decor is clean and modern. Very clean. You can see the kitchen/grill right as you walk in. We asked for still water, and was given a half carafe with mint and lime. The waiter kept filling it up for us. There was no charge for the water. We did not have wine, but you could look at their selection which was very nice. We started with cheese wrapped in bacon and toasted bread (which was all cooked on a skewer), cost was $4. Also bacon wrapped smoked plums, $3.50. Menu was al la carte. We both had grilled chicken and the carrot salad. I had grilled potatoes, which were baby red potatoes grilled whole with some Rosemary. My colleague had the grilled vegetable, which was on a skewer, corn, zucchini, pepper, carrot, mushroom and onion. The salads and side were about $1 U.S. each. The chicken was a breast, very juicy and tender. The chicken was about $6 U.S. each. The carrot salad was a bit different than traditional. Not as much vinegar, but a tiny hint of spice.
