Everyone was enjoying delicious looking drinks and bagels. I ordered my two bagels to-go - the Bagel Chick and the Bagel Deli. All of the reviews rave about the bagels, but really they're just okay. Maybe I'm a bit spoiled because of my visits to New York and the huge availability in general in America. I don't think the bagels at Barnini are made fresh each morning. Bagels should not taste that dry. At least the Bagel Chick had a guacamole mayonnaise, but my husband wasn't so fortunate with the Bagel Deli. And if you're a bagel cafe, how can you only serve one type of bagel? If I were rating Barnini just on its bagels, I would give 3 stars. But my rating includes the ambience, which for me adds an extra star. Even though the bagels are average, I would love to go back for a coffee and pastry (the cakes and pies looked great) for breakfast or in the afternoon with a friend because the place is so gezellig.

The L-shaped interior is rather cramped and a bit noisy, with peculiar plywood high tables, but is good for people watching and has a good view into the street. They serve breakfasts until mid-morning and a range of sandwiches and salads at lunchtime, with a choice of cakes if you just want something to go with a coffee or tea. They make a point of serving organic fruit and herb teas, and also have a small selection of beers. We found the quality of the food to be very good - fresh and tasty; but the service was pretty poor - it seemed to be very slow, with people arriving after us being served first and it took three requests to get milk with coffee, - an order for a second coffee never materialised. That said, it did not seem to have any impact on its popularity - getting a table can be a challenge at weekends.

The plan was just to get a beer but there wasn't a heck of a lot of choice - a half dozen or so. Still, they had Hoegaarden so I was happy. We also ended up getting the nachos with cheese and guacamole and this dish was not bad at all, and for 8 Euros, you cannot go wrong. I did go inside to use the little boy's room and it was clean, which is always a plus. The inside of the restaurant also looked comfortable and inviting. Foodwise, a LOT of people were eating burgers and every few minutes the young waitresses would head outside with more and more burgers. They looked big, fat and delicious. I must try one next time.

My absolute favorite thing is the green eggs, but I have not included a photo as they are not photogenic. They are super tasty. My second favorite thing is the daily quiche. Usually with veggie meals you leave feeling unhungry but not really satisfied. This is not the case at Tinsel. My breakfasts are so good that I'm good to go until the evening. Only word of warning is that the afternoons on weekends the place is packed and not fun. Best to go early or weekdays if you want a relaxing meal.

The last time I had to pay $550 to fix it. On the more serious side, a watch that I bought was not what it was supposed to be. Not only is the value less, but Patek Philippe would not fix it; and it can not be auctioned as it is not considered to be an authentic Patek Philippe because the watch was attached to a bracelet. I am very disappointed in the honesty and the value of what I purchased from someone I trusted.
