Warren runs this authentic Irish pub in the centre of Tours. There are some nights for quizzes and bands, but the majority of the time it sticks to what it does best - being a great local pub with good beer and a friendly atmosphere. It may no longer be the case, but there was a book to record each pint the regulars drank. After 100 pints you would get your own pint glass with your name engraved. These hang all over the bar but mine sits back home in the UK now. I miss The Pale and have never found a bar that comes close to equalling it's greatness.

I had a grog, which was hot lemon, maybe a little ginger? maple syrup or honey and definitely rum! They serve hot tea as well. I was drawn in the other day by the amazing house band, The Balkanic Orchestra, I believe. See videos - they were awesome! I've heard other jazz trios and amazing live performances. Highly recommend!

It was not too busy and it has a tv for sports if that is what floats your boat but no tv sound, just ambient music. I did not try the food. They have a selection of Belgian beers and Brooklyn and Proper Job Cornish beer. My Cornish side said to have that but I stuck with Tongerlo Belgiun trappist beer.
