We only saw signs along the road to tell us there was a citrus farm on our way to Panama City Beach. There are no hours posted but it is a Friday at 145 PM that we stopped.
There are only 2 men working and a trailer where I guess one of them lives just in front of the satsuma grove.
We pulled in and another lady was waiting. She was there to order fruit to ship. She said she comes here often and all of the fruit is divine.
I had to walk to the satsuma grove to find someone to sell me a box of fruit. All fruit is $30 a box regardless of type.
I am super excited because this is type of fruit is a treat. The guy said the satsuma grove is only 20 years old.
Peak for all of the other citrus (lemons, white and pink grapefruit and navels) is mid November.
We have T-Mobile and had no service. If no one is in the barn go walk to the back to find someone. I did not want to knock on the trailer door.
I did hear heavy equipment in the navel groves and you can walk through but all of the fences are electric. read more
