The place is nothing special. Sport bar, public mostly male. It does have a certain appeal thanks to the snookers & foosball tables, but then there are nicer bars a few metres away with the same equipment. One night my group of ski instructors went over there and ordered a round of drinks. I had a few more and then decided to go home, while they stayed there longer. It turns out that, after I left, my friends were ushered out of the place by the bouncer (Jürgen) for staying there without ordering more drinks. Which is a policy I could marginally agree with, but the way the message was delivered was unfortunate to say the least.
A few days afterwards I took a chance to speak to the bouncer, and tried to explain to him (in the nicest possible way) that we weren't impressed with the service, and poor manners with the customers aren't a good idea for the business. Not only I got no apology ("if you don't buy drinks you are not welcome") but first he threatened me ("you sound like you don't want to be admitted in here") then he barred me from reentering the place ("you had too many drinks").
No point in arguing with arrogant people. If you don't want my business, I'll bring it elsewhere. read more
