I'm not sure if this bar/restaurant has changed since Christopher B was here, or whether this was simply his first Spanish meal. As someone who has lived in Barcelona for several months and eaten many a Spanish meal, I was extremely disappointed with this place. They had shaded terrace seating, and a very affordable and extensive menu with English translation, but that's where the plusses end.
The food quality was abysmal (stale oil/vinegar that's been sitting in the sun too long, undercooked prawn, iceberg lettuce salads, dry chicken, etc etc) and the service was pretty poor. I will say I enjoyed the pork in tomato sauce (which was more like a stew, thus the pork was in chunks with the bad parts cut out, and was nice and tender) and the white wine that they served by the bottle.
About the only time I would recommend this place to someone is if it's a poor college student traveling on a tight budget looking for a place to get some cheap drinks and have a bit of a snack to buffer the alcohol. Do not rely on this place for any sort of sustenance. read more
