Most gelatos in this part of Italy are more soft and airy this specific gelato is rich and creamy, almost wet. Pistachio is great, dark chocolate is awesome and unique flavors like Toblerone the family loved. Highly recommend. Make the walk to the top and don't have the tourist trap gelato at the bottom of the promenade here in Bellagio.

This place was hopping as I walked by so I was pretty sure it had to be good and it did not disappoint! I snagged a small pistachio bar for mom, who demolished it! For me I went with the fior di latte, which translates to flower of milk. In English, we could potentially equate this with our saying of "cream of the crop." It was a flavor that I had never experienced before, not milk per se, but also not vanilla. At any rate, it was delicious. I only hope I can find it again outside of Italy and relive the experience.

We were on a private boat tour with our great guide Luca when he recommended we stop in Lenno for gelato. We stopped at La Fabbrica del Gelato and it was truly out of this world. The servers were so kind to give us their best reccs, and I am glad we sought their advice. From the texture, to the natural flavors, I was blown away at how good it was. This is a 5/5 hidden gem in a place where you do not expect great cuisine, and it was surely the surprise of our trip.
