I'm not sure why this comes up as a "bar" when this is the address of the corporate headquarters of the Barilla Group, international purveyors of pasta and sauces.
Founded in 1877 as a bakery shop, it was acquired by the American company W.R. Grace and then returned to being privately held by the grandson of the founder in 1979. Today, the company is run by the great-grandson and the Barilla family.
The Barilla Group is the world's leading pasta maker, dominating the Italian market with 40%-45% and 35% of the United States market. They make pasta in some 160 different shapes. Barilla Group also owns the Wasabröd brand, MISKO and others.
The company markets pasta in the US as being Italian ("An Italian Favorite" marketing) in flavor, but according to the wikipedia article, most of the product in the United States is actually made in Iowa or New York and not Italy. The wheat used is mainly local. Surprise!
Barilla caught some flack in 2013 when their CEO said some things. They since apologized and have been advocating for social causes to show how sorry they were for those statements. "Barilla goes from worst to first on gay rights" in https://money.cnn.com/2014/11/19/news/companies/barilla-lgbt/
My wife enjoys cooking with their pasta and I like her cooking. It's my favorite thing. Last night, she made the most amazing stuffed manicotti with the shells that I bought at our local supermarket, Harris Teeter. My Yelp profile answers the question "My Last Meal On Earth" with "Mrs. K's 'from scratch' lasagna" and she uses the Barilla "oven ready lasagne" sheets for it. Yum!
