Close your eyes and you can almost hear Churchill extolling the virtues of England's stalwart nature. As Churchill says, "We will fight them on the beaches, we will fight them in the streets. Of course, Churchill wasn't referring to hunger or thirst, but the reference sort of works for the Britannia. If you're fighting these aforementioned enemies, make The Britannia your battlegrounds for all things yummy and refreshing. Besides stellar service and a friendly atmosphere, Dylan's offers a tradition fare that will make you homesick for all the pub goodies of home, but don't worry, my pub hounds, it is so good here that you won't miss home too much.. And hey, you're in Spain so enjoy. I personally suggest the steak and ale pie, crispy and succulent taste treat baked to perfection. Finally, if you're a James Bond fan, this is your "shaken not stirred"spot. The owner (Joe) is an avid fan and the bar boast a wall of photos of every Bond imaginable. Joe really knows his Bond trivia, so you had better be on your game, Miss Moneypenny, if you want to stump this license to serve proprietor. His wife, also named Jo, is equally as cool, and she will set you up with a nice place pint or advice on the local area... Again, without a doubt this is my favorite bar on the Spanish coast!!

Yes, it's a "tourist trap," €15 per person for a a flamenco show that you are charged for with no prior warning.....but where else can you see flamenco for that price? They don't have a real stage; just a section of the restaurant, but the dancers were good and the show was just under an hour with 2 separate costumes. It was a little difficult to see the dancers from our table because of decorated columns/trees in the restaurant as well as other diners blocking the view. We also read about the charges for anything extra that they bring to your table like bread at €10. (We saw every other table with a bread basket, and it did look quite good.). I ordered a hamburger which came with fries, and my sister ordered a few tapas items. The burger was actually quite good with a freshly baked bun and flavorful cheese. My sister had croquettes that had a stew-like filling, (not sure what it was,), but she said they were delicious. She also had a tapas made of zucchini, bacon and cheese which she said was also really good. It was a cute little restaurant with open air seating. If you want to see flamenco in Spain, and don't want to spend an arm and a leg; or sit through a 3 hour event.....this is a good option. Just be aware that everything comes with an additional cost!
