Every town has to have an Irish pub and this is the Irish pub in Old Town Istres. In the morning…read morethey serve awesome espresso and coffee then as the day transitions to night, this little pub transitions into a Irish Pub. They do not have a huge selection of drinks, but their beers are ice cold. The only negative thing about the place is the selection of music they play. I stopped in here twice for coffee and once for a beer and all three times they had soft rock playing. Hopefully on weekends they up the pace a bit. :-)

There's a charm inside with wine barrels as tables, a big chalkboard with specials of the day and more offerings, and a small light-food menu. I had a glass of rosé for 4.50, and delicious St. Marcellin for 5 euros. Relaxed and chill, highly recommend, I always stop in when I'm in Aix.

Not only is the wine great, but the people who work there are incredibly friendly. We actually came to this place a few times during our 4 day stay in Aix.One of the days we were fortunate enough to meet the owner and have a glass of wine with him. He's extremely friendly and really knows his wine. I seriously cannot recommend this place enough. My husband and I fell in love with Aix and I think this little place was a large portion of the reason why. Who knows, maybe one day we will own a little apartment in Aix so that we can come to Au P'tit Quart D'Heure on a daily basis :) Whatever you do, dont leave Aix without coming here and having a glass of rose.
