We found her very knowledgable of the area and gave us way more info than asked for, but was very useful as we went thru the closing process. Michelle was not only knowledgable but patient as we went from property to proterty, she was listening to everything we said, filing it away to find us the perfect property. And that she did. Many agents are more concerned about THEIR SALE, Michelle was only concerned about finding us the RIGTH PROPERTY. If I ever buy again in this area I will defiantly us Michelle!

We started working with him last year and waited for this unit until April 2017. In March, he sends us an email saying we can't occupy it because he sold it. To add insult to injury, after I signed the lease, his partner accidentally cc'd me on an email saying he shouldn't sign it because they may get lucky and sell it. I wrote back asking if I should look elsewhere because I'm paying for hotels and don't want to wait and get screwed. He sent me the countersigned lease back and said not to worry, they were going to lease it to me. Then, he screwed me. Glenn Duff obviously graduated from Trump University. I recommend not walking away from him, but running.

We went with Jan because we heard that she was the busiest real estate agent on Salt Spring, and we…read moreare happy that we did. We're from Vancouver and didn't know too much about the SSI market, so Jan stepped up and offered her wisdom and solid advice. She worked hard for us, often checking in or taking phone calls after office hours to keep us up to date on the progress of our offer and the steps that followed once it was accepted. We take possession of our first home this February and we couldn't have done it without Jan! We highly recommend using Jan as an agent if you are in the market for purchasing a home on Salt Spring.

We…read moreneeded to get a feel for the diversity of neighbourhoods on the island, and Jan had the answers! Her keen eye helped us assess the properties we viewed with her. A long-time islander, herself, Jan shared insider tips on where to go for everything from hidden beaches and hikes, to organic farm stands and bakeries off the beaten path. This level of knowledge is invaluable to choosing your neighbourhood in a new locale! Once we made our decision, Jan was extremely efficient in dotting every "i" and crossing every "t". The property we put an offer on was in probate, which carries with it a layer of unconventional challenges. Jan navigated these waters without hesitation and with the utmost professionalism. We are so pleased with our working relationship with Jan that I cannot over-emphasize the strengths she brings to the table! Jan is diligent, and she has exemplary people-skills! Such a joy to work with! If you are considering investing in property on Salt Spring Island, and want to work with an extremely good realtor, call Jan! You will be in good hands!

Laurie Satushek is the person you want representing you if you are a buyer in the Bellingham area…read more I know this from personal experience. In fact, I hadn't even planned to purchase a home in Bellingham, and was just visiting a friend in town, when I was introduced to Laurie. One thing led to another, and in a day, I was out looking at properties. Laurie is FROM Bellingham, and knows and understands the market there as well as any one person could. This knowledge base is of inestimable value. She showed me properties that fit the very narrow constraints of what I was willing to spend, what I was looking for in terms of an investment, the return I expected to get, etc. In other words, Laurie LISTENED to me. She didn't show me things she THOUGHT might work for me. She showed me properties that fit EXACTLY the parameters I was working in. This is a rare thing today in Real Estate. Agents are often so desperate to close that they'll show properties that have only the most remote connection to what the client has stated they are looking for. Also, Laurie was available to me at virtually all times, and always responded to my calls and e-mails in the most timely of fashions. I have been buying and selling houses for 20 years, and I wish I had met Laurie earlier. Having worked with people across the ability spectrum I can honestly say that I've never had an agent go so far above and beyond the job description as she did in helping me find the property that was exactly right for me. To call her tireless would be an understatement. And.. I got the impression she had plenty left in the tank. Add to that integrity, honesty and a great sense of humor, and you get an agent who is not only a pleasure to work with professionally, but someone who makes the multiple hours involved in hunting for, inspecting, and ultimately making an offer on a home seem virtually effortless. But the effort is there. If you're looking at homes in or around Bellingham, Trust this review. Don't buy a property in this area without first consulting with Laurie Satushek of Keller Williams.
