With Spanish murals on the wall and plush seats, Guarida immediately sets the ambience. The table bread with garlic aioli is delicious, how come no one ever thought to offer garlic aioli in lieu of butter before? My favorite tapas were the meatballs in tomato sauce and the bacon wrapped dates. The mushroom tapas were too salty for me.

We were very disappointed and honestly still very hungry even though we ordered the 8 tapa plates each. We were given 3 tiny pieces of chicken and 3 tiny shrimps for two of the plates. The olives were literally from a can. No flavor whatsoever. It cost around 15€ per person. The staff was friendly but not sure how this place is so highly rated and full. Maybe for the drinks. I had the fish soup which was made with fresh vegies and sample of different fish and seafood. The flavor was excellent but to much salmon in there for my taste, I would have loved some more variety of fish. 2nd course was the Paella since I had no one to share some Tapas with. The Paella was tasty and it was a pure seafood paella, when I make paella I always fry some chicken and chorizo in base, de-glace and then add the veggies and rice. It adds more flavor. I guess with all the dietary restrictions people have these days they had to stick to the pure seafood theme :) Overall it was an excellent meal paired with a nice Tempranillo. The only drawback is probably the smoking when you sit outside, I don't mind smoking around me unless I'm eating!
