I tried to call to see if they accepted my insurance and could schedule ahead. However after calling three times and being on hold each time and the automated system dropping the call after 10 minutes, after 30-40 minutes I gave up and went in as a walk in. Waited 2-3 hours, many people got to go ahead of me due to online check in. Front receptionist is incredibly rude and mean. Might as well be a DMV office. If you have the option to go to a NorthWest Urgent Care I highly recommend that over Banner. Disappointing that health care within the largest global economy is like this. read more

I came in for a knife cut, NP Natalia Philips got the job done and glued it back together, but she wasn't very forthcoming with any information about the severity of the cut or any follow-up care until I asked several questions. Overall, I'd say she's lacking in bedside manner. I called later with follow-up questions and spoke with PA Brian. He was extremely helpful and patient as I asked a few different questions, and he explained the answers very well. If I had only interacted with Brian, I would have given more stars, but Natalia's lack of bedside manner knocked my review down two stars. read more

After being on antibiotics for a UTI it had not cleared up and my Dr. told me to go to urgent care and ask for the culture to be sent out to find out what type of bacteria it was since I was being referred to a specialist and that information was important. I went to this urgent care and explained why I was there. They took a urine sample and stated they would call me with the results in a week or two. When I had not heard anything I called them and asked for the results. After a long hold I was told they forgot to send the sample out and she didn't know why. Weeks later I received a bill wanting me to pay for the visit, even though the whole reason I went there did not happen. I fought the bill and lost. Talk about horrible in office service as well as billing costumer service! I will pay the bill. I hope they like $1 a month for the next 46 months! read more

I'm giving my visit four stars because the young lady at the front desk was very nice and so was the nurse who took my vitals. I was diagnosed with bilateral ear infections by the NP Natalia Phillips. However I had no idea until she handed me the paperwork. She said all of ten words to me, muffled by her mask and I couldn't hear because of the infection. I just wish she had taken into consideration the fact that it was hard for me to hear. I made an online appointment for 12/23 at 7:00pm. It was confirmed by text message. I had to ask my work if I can leave early to make it to my appointment. When I got there , there was a sign on the door that said "sorry this location is closed " , meanwhile, as I sit in my car I kept getting messages from Banner about my appointment. The last text message was about me missing my appointment. Um what? They are the ones that didn't show up. I went on Google to read their reviews and someone else had mentioned that the same thing happened to him. So it has been addressed to them but nothing has been done about it. Update: yup! I got the generic computer generated response from banner. Hahaha what a joke. The female Russian provider at this location provides HORRIBLE SERVICE! My husband went specifically there through the VA recommendation to use as urgent need for his ear issue. He was treated in a manner that NO ONE should ever be treated. After he asked if she could try to get the wax out that was causing him pain and hearing loss, she yelled at him, raised her hands, yelled, "NO GO SEE A SPECIALIST!" And walked out on his already paid visit. The nurse walking in as this happened was extremely embarrassed. My husband said, "she sounds like a Russian, couldn't translate into English well and is extremely rude." The nurse (looking scared) said, "Yup, that's just the way she is." She was trying to keep her voice down so as nit to be heard when she apologized to him. He told her it wasn't her fault. He basically got charge our copay and the insurance was charged their fee for ABSOLUTELY NOTHING but to be yelled at and treated in an abusive manner. Horrible place. Took my husband's teenage son to get tested for COVID after he was experiencing symptoms last week.. waited 2 hours before they were able to see him even with an appointment. They told us we should expect results back within 3-5 days but more likely in 2 days. Day 4 - After not hearing anything we tried calling ALL day but no one would answer and call went to vm. Day 5 - after many attempts in the morning, finally got a hold of someone but she couldn't find him on file. She asked if we were even sure that he came in for a COVID test and after repeating his info several times, she found him and said they were still waiting on results. Day 6 - we called again and they said they would call the lab to see what was going on. A couple hours later, they call us back and said they don't know what happened but they've lost his COVID sample and if we would like to bring him back in to get tested! Really!?! Unbelievable! He's already missed a whole week of school! We told them no and took him to Walgreens instead and got our results within 2 hours! Long story short, staff and the way they run this place is a joke! - month later received bill from them for $6.57 for the visit. Ha! Even though we weren't happy with their service my husband wanted to just pay and be over with it. Called to pay and was told we actually owed $140 even with ins! Can't believe it! They said statement was mailed to us before they charge for the other services! Billing dept has now opened a review for the claim when we called! This is unacceptable! I woke up on fathers day with a fever of 101.5 , body pain, feeling achy all over, sore throat, chills, heart rate racing HR 106, Short of breath, productive cough, feeling pretty much like if I had the influenza or COVID (vaccinated). I am 34 years old relatively healthy and I never go to an urgent care unless if feel this bad and it had been over 3 years. So I go seeking at the very least some empathy and someone that can listen or understand how bad I felt but unfortunately got assigned Ms Phillips, Natalie NP who took 1 minute to assess me and didn't even listen to my complaints that I listed above. No COVID test, No influenza test in spite of having all those symptoms stated above. I told her my cough was so bad I hadn't slept, I told her i had a productive cough, I also mentioned that i was nauseated. All she wrote on my discharge paper was sore throat and she gave me a strep test that was actually recommended by her tech nurse who was a lot more caring than she was . I was prescribed cough drops for an half hour drive and an 15 minute wait in the lobby with a 1 minute exam all while carrying the fever of 101 with my heart racing @ 106. She told me to drink water and stay hydrated and I asked her to please test me and she said to come back tomorrow if I don't feel better. I am like I am already here what's the difference it takes a few seconds to swab somebody why not do it today instead of waiting for tomorrow. So if you need urgent care avoid her at all cost she is a horrible NP who cant listen to her patients and lacks the empathy to be treating sick patients. Instead of debating with an incompetent provider I took the high road but I hope this review can help anybody who is thinking about going to see this particular NP. My husband hates going to the doctor. He suffered for three days with a sinus infection and bronchitis before he finally relented and agreed to see a doctor. Our regular PCP was out of town due to a family emergency so we opted for Banner Urgent Care on Thornydale. I loved that we could check in online rather than just showing up and having to sit around. We checked in at 8:00am for and 8:45am appointment. We arrived about 8:35 and waited only a couple minutes before we were seen. Donna Rowe, the Nurse Practitioner that we saw was fabulous. She's so kind and gentle and genuinely concerned about her patients. We were in and out in less than half and hour and everything was handled so quickly and efficiently. The staff were great. We'd certainly come back for urgent needs or when we can't get in to see our PCP. read more

They got me in super fast with Covid symptoms, told me to quarantine for 10 days a. I'll get my results in 3-5 days going on day 6 now an I'm calling an logging into my banner portal and there's not 1 thing about my test or screening, getting pissed tf off called about 8 times this morning an they keep just hanging up. Rings a good 6-7 times then just hangs up. Whoever the doctor an staff are here they don't care about there job. Walgreens an CVS is doing a better job then this urgent care. An that's sad. This place is awful. I believe there are a total of 3 people working in the entire building and the lady at the reception desk keeps taking personal phone calls right in the lobby. While I was waiting another lady came over and told me to just go sit down until the desk girl came back because she didn't know how to do check in's. I did their on line check in for 9:55 AM and am still waiting for a doctor at 10:39 AM. So that system is mostly useless. It's not even that busy. The place does not seem well run or well staffed. Doctor saw me a little bit before the office closed and after telling me what meds i needed to get, i waited for a nurse to come give me some paperwork like they usually do at any other place but one would come over. Places closed at 8 and by 8:15 i got up to see what was going on and as soon as i came out of the room the alarm went off and the whole place was dark. They LITERALLY LEFT ME INSIDE!!!! Front doors were locked and finally was able to get out using the emergency door. Police and security didn't show up until 30 minutes afterwards. The doctor was very kind and helpful, however the receptionist was very rude and treated me like I was stupid when I asked a question about the paperwork. I got there right before they closed, and I understand they wanted to go home, but the receptionist and the nurse that triaged me, acted like I was being a HUGE inconvenience. To be treated this way, when I was already feeling bad, is unacceptable! My husband and I are business owners and we would never allow our staff to treat others this way. I went there 3/12/2019 at 8:00pm.I had set up an appointment to be seen for a broken right hand. I had gone to Northwest hospital the night before and they took an x-ray and said I had two broken bones in my right hand. So they told me to follow up A certain orthopedic surgeon, I did that and unfortunately my insurance wasn't accepted by this particular doctor. They told me go to urgent Care banner urgent Care and that day with set me up with a banner orthopedic surgeon someone that my insurance worked with. So I do that and on the phone I explained that's what I was going to do and that they told me that set up an appointment with them so they can give me a referral to a banner doctor and there was no problem over the phone. But when I get to the banner urgent Care on thornydale and Ina and the Target shopping center parking lot in Tucson Arizona, the front desk was very nice was very pleasant didn't have any problems with her at all she was very helpful. but the doctor or the nurse practitioner or the person that was seeing me was very very very rude very very unprofessional very static or sympathetic and she act like I was ruining her whole night just by being there. when I was telling the nurse that was taking me to the back why I was there you know to get a second opinion I get another X-ray and to get another referral she was like stun like she never heard that in her life before so she goes and gets this nurse doctor practitioner it whatever you would like to call this person I like to call her rude, she comes in and immediately with an attitude what are you doing here what do you want from us I was like woah I was told to come here by urgent care or actually Northwest hospital and when I called here earlier they told me that set up an appointment and come see you so I can get a referral to a banner orthopedic surgeon someone that accept my insurance. I would give this less than one if possible. Banner is the least patient oriented health care delivery system I've experienced. I needed to have some simple pre-op testing done for a procedure at another Banner facility 2 hours north. I called Banner Urgent 10 days in advance to make sure they could do the testing and arrange for the appt. I was told they can do the specific testing (CBC, CMP blood tests & EKG). I showed up today and they refused to perform the pre-op testing, telling me it wasn't arranged. Now you may think I made some error, but interestingly not only am I a physician, but I am on staff at Banner. I know how things work. This is not the first time I've experienced horrible patient relations with Banner. If you have an option, go elsewhere. read more

The staff is great and everyone really cared about us and wanted to make us better. The initial wait to get a Covid test wasn't long, but why bother? The results from Sonora Quest haven't come yet - it's 10 days and counting! It's worthless. I came into Banner Urgent Care last Saturday with my earring that had been misplaced in my ear during a 9 mile hike. I had come in straight from our hike out of town and asked them to help. I had asked the lady at the front desk if she could help remove my earring due to her being at a different angle and being much more sanitary. However, the doctor told me she wouldn't be able to because she probably wasn't stronger than me and asked my boyfriend to do it in the lobby. They gave him some gloves and he did it, right there in the lobby. They didn't even offer to help me clean it off. Needless to say I will never go to this urgent care again. read more

I diagnosed myself with allergy related conjunctivitis. I was on my way to a pharmacy to pick up some OTC meds but decided to stop in to see if there was something more that could be done. They took my insurance info and charged my HSA card $75 before I was even settled into my seat. The forms were intrusive and asked way more info than I felt comfortable providing. Eventually, I was called to the back, vitals taken, then the NP arrived a while after that. She didn't look at any of the stats or notes that the med assistant put in the system and basically asked me all of the exact same questions. She shined a light in my eyes, concurred with my self-diagnosis and sent me on my way. My insurance, which fully covered this visit, did not require a copay or anything out of pocket from me. I suppose the $75 was a non-service gratuity for wasting their time and mine. So I think my overall rating is a -75. read more
