The front desk people are rude and simply indifferent to human suffering. Never in my life have medical staff treated me this way

Unfortunately my visits as an adult were always by emergency care and never by personal desire. The outside of the building is older - but the inside is delightfully decorated. This office has ample seating and a small refrigerator filled with water bottles for convenience. Per my recent visit with Dr Michael Thompson, his demeanor was calm and his bedside manner was stellar!! I was told by another dentist at another location that I would need a root canal - Instead I opted to get a second opinion on my own at Litchfield Endodontics with Dr Michael and he stated I did not need one and opted to fix my cracked tooth instead. The technology of their 3-D scanner made my visit efficient and smooth. I felt like I was in and out quickly. The staff at this office are kind and really made me feel comfortable. I couldn't be more happy with my decision to read and trust the reviews, visit and finally have my dental needs taken care of. Thanks L.E. for your support, services and empathy! For anyone looking to get the care they need, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Dr. Michael Thompson at Litchfield Endodontics!

My ultrasound went quickly. I watched the large screen in front. Wow, the resolution was amazing. It seemed like forever. Perhaps it was. I arrived at 1:30 and did not leave until 3:45 pm. I appreciate my OB/GYNs and their expertise. I left with a clean bill of health after the great prescription: lose weight and stop feeding your cyst with fats. I had no idea that fat produced estrogen that make larger ovarian cysts. 17 pounds lighter, a change of lifestyle in exercise and eating, I am now free of fibroids and cysts. Thank you Tracy and Jennifer!

I have gone…read morehere for both of my previous pregnancies because I absolutely love my midwife--she is truly an angel. Unfortunately, my experience during my third pregnancy has been completely different. I have now been to the ER THREE times in the last two weeks due to ongoing and severe symptoms. Each time, the doctors treating me have strongly urged me to follow up with my OB as soon as possible. You would think that getting an appointment with your OB after being repeatedly sent to the ER would be a priority. Instead, I have called every single day and cannot get through to a live person. I am repeatedly sent to a prerecorded machine. I have also submitted multiple appointment requests through the website, and I still have not received a response or been able to speak with anyone. I am currently pregnant and trying to get appropriate prenatal care, yet I cannot even get someone to answer the phone or schedule an appointment. This is not just frustrating--it is unacceptable. Patients should not have to repeatedly go to the ER because they cannot get in contact with their OB's office. I have always spoken highly of this practice because of my previous experiences, especially because of how wonderful my midwife has been. That is what makes this situation even more disappointing. I truly hope the office recognizes how serious this communication issue is and makes changes, because pregnant patients should not have to fight this hard just to receive basic prenatal care

I have been coming to NextCare Urgent Care in Litchfield Park since we moved to the area and, until…read moremy last couple of visits, had always had positive experiences. Unfortunately, after my most recent visit, I will not be returning. On Saturday evening around 7:15 p.m., I had a frightening near-choking incident while eating steak at a restaurant nearby. The piece of steak became lodged in my esophagus. I could breathe, but I was in pain and completely unable to swallow liquids. Having never experienced anything like this before, my husband, our friends and I had no idea what type of medical care was required. Because NextCare was directly across from the restaurant, we went there for help and guidance. We explained the situation to the receptionist, who went to speak with the provider. When the NP came out, it appeared she had been told that someone was actively choking--which is not what we had said. She immediately seemed irritated that the situation was different from what had apparently been relayed to her and commented that she had come out because she thought someone was choking. We explained again that I had a piece of steak stuck in my throat, could breathe but could not swallow anything, and simply asked whether this was something they could help with. Her response and demeanor were incredibly dismissive and condescending. She told us that she couldn't refuse to help me, but that they did not have the equipment necessary to treat a food bolus and that I needed to go somewhere that did. She repeatedly emphasized that she couldn't refuse care or tell us what to do, to the point that an already frightening situation became unnecessarily uncomfortable and embarrassing. I completely understand that an urgent care may not have the equipment or specialists necessary to remove an esophageal food bolus. That is not why I am leaving this review. A simple, compassionate response such as, "I'm sorry you're going through this. Unfortunately, we don't have the equipment here to safely treat this, and you need a higher level of care," would have been completely understandable. What I cannot understand is treating a frightened patient with irritation and contempt simply because they walked into the wrong level of medical facility while trying to figure out where to get help. Healthcare professionals encounter people who are scared, in pain and unfamiliar with the medical system every day. Compassion costs nothing. I left feeling embarrassed for having even walked through the door at a moment when I was genuinely frightened and needed guidance. I ultimately did require hospital care for the food bolus, which only reinforced that seeking medical attention was absolutely appropriate. Unfortunately, the way I was treated at NextCare during that process has permanently changed my opinion of a location my family had trusted for years. After this experience, we will be finding another urgent care for our family.

I was seen by a PA who I felt did a good job, but there were problems with paperwork and follow-up with me and with SimonMed. The end result was I had broken bones in my hand for a week that didn't get proper treatment because the office staff didn't follow up. One interaction I had with a staffer was so sub-par that I asked for the name of a supervisor to contact. My thought was no just about my complaints, but rather that if someone with a serious condition got the same level of (sub par) treatment as I did, there might be serious consequences. They need to up their level of service. The email I sent the manager has gone unanswered. That speaks volumes.
