My only real critique of the ramen (other than the missing egg) is that it is a touch too fatty for me, and that's a personal preference more than anything. Good ramen broth always has plenty of fat in it and fat is flavor, but it bothers my stomach! She'll also often throw in extra, for free, with your order. Socks and free food, what more can you ask for? They have also started making traditional, hand made dumplings there too; both meat and veggie. OMFG are they good! I've had them for breakfast, lunch and dinner once. I believe that this restaurant serves the best sushi in Sweden and most certainly the best sushi in Göteborg. I can not understand why this restaurant has not been awarded a star in Guide Michelin.

I came in here with my boyfriend on a Saturday afternoon, and was surprised to see that it wasn't full. It's located right on on the water by the fish market, and I figured there would be more people there on a weekend. We weren't too hungry, so we each ordered one roll. I got the Salmon Roll, and he got the Rainbow Roll. Each roll was 100 sek. The presentation of the rolls was very cute. Each roll came with some seaweed salad, red onions in a sweet sauce, ginger, and wasabi. Each roll was drizzled in sauce. And the presentation in no way affected the taste of the sushi. Also, each meal comes with free miso soup. I'm not sure if this is during lunch hours, or all the time, but it definitely helped fill me up :) One thing I would like to note about this place is that the menu differs from many of the other sushi restaurants in Gothenburg. It isn't like the typical menu with 8-, 10-, 12-, or 15-piece order of assorted sushi pieces. It is more similar to an American sushi restaurant. Of course, there seems to be some Korean influence, and part of the menu (labeled "East Asia") is noodles, or bi bim bap (korean for fried rice or mixed rice i think). The other part of the menu of course is sashimi, sushi, and rolls. If you're American (like me), I would definitely recommend this place, because it is more like what we are used to back home. And we can be more picky with the rolls we get. ALSO WARNING TO WASABI HATERS: it seems that a lot of the rolls (at least, both of the ones we ordered) come with wasabi mayo in dollops on some of the pieces. If you want a spicy tuna roll, you must order the hand roll because they will not make it is in maki form for you. I found this strange considering they make the sushi to order. Secondly, 'spicy' is not a word they know much about. I understand I'm in the land of bland foods and mild tastes, but seriously? I ordered my stuff extra spicy to avoid this, but unfortunately there was no extra spice in it. Which leads me to point #3. Third, the food sucked. I was hoping the spiciness would mask the nastiness of the sushi itself, but it didn't. The hand roll was so soggy I couldn't even pick it up. My Rainbow roll was just not good either. I really wanted to like this place because the atmosphere was really chill, modern, and cute. They even had a cute outdoor seating area (which wasn't being used due to the rain). They run specials that include beer (which I didn't order). I really thought this place's food might measure up to its atmosphere. It didn't. I would say there has to be better sushi in Gothenburg...and next time I head that way I'm determined to find it!
