Vets and pets are expensive, but this vet is reasonably priced and they walk through your options for treatment/preventative care so you can decide.

I cannot say enough good things about UrgentVet! I was dog-sitting my mom's dog (she's visiting…read morefrom Massachusetts), and she was swatted in the face by my cat, leaving blood in her eyes. Naturally, I rushed to another emergency vet hospital and waited for hours, only to be told the wait would get even longer due to incoming critical cases. I felt completely helpless, especially after they took the dog to the back and placed her in a crate, despite me asking them to bring her back if we had to wait. While still in the ER waiting room, someone recommended UrgentVet, and I am so grateful they did. I made an appointment online while still at the first vet, and 10 minutes later we were at UrgentVet--and seen immediately. From the moment we walked in, the staff was kind, efficient, and professional. Nick, the vet tech, was absolutely wonderful--compassionate, communicative, and thorough. Dr. Bowman and Nick worked together as a team, assessing the dog in front of me instead of taking her to the back, which made me feel included, informed, and reassured. We were out in under 45 minutes, and the entire experience was smoother, more transparent, and honestly far more compassionate than the first ER. And to top it off, the total cost was only $25 more than the base fee at the other hospital. UrgentVet has earned my trust, and I will be taking all of my pets here moving forward. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of quick, caring, and quality veterinary care.

I called the first 24-hour amimal care center and made the trip out. Turns out my little feline went into a dangerous diabetic shock. They advised me on the phone I needed to go to an Emergency Hospital for cats. I opted to come here first for evaluation and advise. I am glad we did! They gave our cat an IV with some dextrose to get him out of the danger zone but advised us he still needs to help. The staff at this ungodly hour were kind and sympathetic to our concerns. They were attentive and gave us clear instructions of what to do next. I absolutely 100% would recommend UrgentVet to anyone in critical emergency need. It may not be your last stop of the night, but they'll do whatever they can to get you the help you need or advice you may need. Thank you!

Absolutely one of the most infuriating visits I've ever had--and I don't even want to come back to…read morePlantation. The reason? The front desk, specifically Paula. This woman has no business in customer service. I come in regularly for my pets, and she's consistently rude, condescending, and disrespectful. She interrupts, rolls her eyes, and acts like helping you is a burden. Today, I finally called her out on her attitude, and instead of apologizing, she argued with me. No remorse. No professionalism. Just pure defensiveness. Did she know I recorded the ENTIRE interaction for her manager? Probably not lol--but I'm tired of her gaslighting. This won't be a "he said, she said." She even claimed I had an issue with her--as if I'm the problem. I've read the reviews. I'm not the only one complaining about her. It's clear she hates her job, and frankly, she shouldn't have it. I don't have a problem with the other front desk staff--it's always her. To top it off, when I was in the middle of putting my dog down, she barged in to ask if I wanted to buy prescription food for my cat. Seriously? When we didn't buy it that moment, we overheard her talking to the staff in the back and saying, "I'm never preordering food for them again." That's not just rude--it's disgusting. She clearly doesn't even know how to use the software, constantly messes up client information, and I always hear her arguing with other customers. She even lied, saying my mother wanted her phone number back on my account--after I asked them to call me not her. This is funny, considering my mom switched vets BECAUSE of Paula. What's worst of all? She never once tried to apologize or fix it. I walked out saying, "Thanks for the apology"--because that's the only one I was going to get. You'd think with all the complaints geared towards her, management would take some sort of action. But hopefully now that I actually have the conversation, they can see for themselves what it's like to be a customer here. It's not pleasant. I'm not sharing this out of spite--I just want management to understand what it's like to deal with her from a client's perspective.

I have seven cats. We have been through about 6 different vets since I moved here about 10 years…read moreago, and I am not the easiest customer to please because we are sticklers about taking excellent care of our cats. We found Dr. White a little over 2 years ago now, and Caring Hearts is an awesome vet clinic. With Doctor White we have now been through 2 bouts of cancer, several dental procedures, a new kitten spay, and many various minor illnesses. So I would say I know her and her practice very well. Doctor White and her staff have a kind, informative, practical and ultra-professional style. They go out of their way to make the patients comfortable by having pheramone sprays everywhere, special tents for the cats to hide out in while waiting, and an electric fence for the office animals to be sure they don't interact with the patients. The office is spotlessly clean. Reading through a couple of the other reviews I can see why Dr. White might not be for a certain type of customer. She is veterinarian geek. She takes her job and her business very seriously and keeps meticulous records and believes her customers will appreciate that and also want to give the best care to their pet. That is why I love Dr. White so much. I know she will not skimp on care or medicines or advice or vaccines. When 2 of our cats went through cancer radiation, Dr. White read every update that the radiation doctor sent her and called to check on our cats. When I needed advice about their symptoms, I could call her and know she was completely up to date. She has also helped us put together a supplement program for various problems and is understanding that we buy some of the chemicals elsewhere and has helped us formulate a cost effective plan. I never have gotten the feeling that she tried to upsell us products from her office, but she is a stickler about helping us be sure we are getting the right amounts and high quality product. I like her direct style. As I mentioned before this clinic is very professional. Each time we visit we are asked a list of questions by a tech and when Dr. White gets there all the information has been communicated so she is prepared. Once we had a question about where an injection had been given and they explained they follow some vet guidelines about each injection so that later if a problem develops there is never a question about which area was injected. This helped us in determining that the injection was not related to a tumor. Dr. White and her staff treat veterinary medicine as seriously as human medicine, and they also have genuine caring hearts. We have found this time and again to be a blessing to us and our family. The office staff is also completely on the ball with ordering food, taking care of the wellness plans and payments, and always fills out and submits our insurance forms properly without being asked to do so. Once there was a mistake with one cat's wellness plan and he was charged too much for a period of time. The office manager took her own initiative to calculate the difference in the care he received vs. what we paid for on the plan and issued us a large credit to our account. If you like to take good care of your animals and want a partner to help you do that, and avoid the headaches of keeping track of paperwork and insurance forms and communication with other outside specialists, Caring Hearts Animal hospital is your best bet.
