Can't say enough good things about Jacobs Home Furnishings. Just moved to the area from Ohio and…read morehappened to stop in to see what they had because we really needed a living room set. Very nice selection of furniture for every room. Found our perfect couch and love seat, they both recline. They are made by Catnapper, was not familiar with the brand. Wish we had heard of it years ago. They are the most comfortable couches we have ever purchased. Great support everywhere and they fully recline. We have purchased some very expensive reclining couches at some high end furniture stores. Again we say, these so far are the best. We were given are great deal on the set, so it was a win, win for us. They delivered them the next day, for free, win again. Shawn and Jonathon, who delivered our couches, were absolutely awesome. They put it exactly where we wanted, offered to help move end tables and coffee table. They were extremely friendly, answered all our questions, even the ones about the area, another win. We are going to be needing furniture for our other rooms and Jacob's Home Furnishings is where we will be going. So if you need furniture go here!

They've always got a lot more furniture than goodwill and other thrift stores so that's usually the main reason I go, but last time I went they had a lot of gardening supplies and paint for great prices. The woman who manages the store is very outgoing and great at her job. The other employees have also been welcoming. I'm sure I'll be back soon to browse the new items.

Not only do the customer service reps life the customer services manages and supervisors don't know what the hell they are taking about. Waiting on the 3rd mirror. They keep shipping broken 60" mirrors in boxes with no protection! This is the 5th time I have been on the phone with them for over an hour each time. All they offer is "store credit" lol. If they can't fix their mistake. They won't me to come back and make another purchase with in store credit yet they can't fulfill the order I gave placed. Weeks ago!! Wow folks the lies keep coming. Bed bath & Beyond customer service is a freaking joke. First I'm unreasonable because I have expectations that they should hold up their end of the deal. Yet they can't issue a refund now because they have ordered a replacement which they consider a replacement. Hahah Given their was so much broken glass I could of cut my fingers or hands severely opening the previous two broken mirrors. Mind you the first mirror I ordered weeks ago showed up in perfect condition. So I thought ok I'll order a larger one. Now we are going on two weeks and two broken Mirrors and no refund. All they can offer is $50.00 in store credit Mind you I had to hall two boxes 36"x62" filled with shattered glass off to the dump ! They are the worst!! As bad as Ashley furniture !

This not a place to seek a specific thing at a specific price (especially in a specific size)...but it's definitely a place to explore. There are a lot of unique pieces mixed in with the Tuesday Morning bob. Prices aren't "cheap" - but are definitely discounted over what specific branded bits actually sell for, even wholesale. Anyways: it's a place I check regularly when in BG. Be clear: this is not an "I would like to order XX in YY size, please call me when that's in stock," - kinda place. If you like it and it's the right size, you pay for it and schlep it anywhere else. If you like it and it's not the right size, you ask if they have any others to sell you on the spot, because if they don't, they won't. And that's fairly the end of it. Bits of creative furniture and creative dec on the fly. Worth the energy, especially if one if creative and flexible about their shopping list.

They also aren't a "salvage" store kr any sort-- 90% of what's there is new and imported from China and India. I was there today and walked in and the man at the desk greeted me. I need to preface this by saying I had an eye surgery recently and due to an immune disorder, the doctors don't want me within 6 feet of anyone as I could get sick and I have to wear sunglasses even indoors. The man greeted me and then I walked to the left and he said he could tell me about the specials and I said "thank you" and continued to walk as I couldn't get close and I was in pain in my eyes, ears, my whole head. He smarts off and says "well ok then" with a smart tone and a huff. Very childish. I walked around, saw how everything was mostly Chinese junk and left. I also took some photos of a few lamps and found them online NEW from the sites anyone can buy from for 60-80% less than this store has them listed at. Won't be back.
