I graduated from Bandon school district. My mom did, her mom did. I am a 5th generation Bandonian. The school isn't quite like any other school I have had dealing with. The staff are hugely into the students and from what I can see in academics, they are excelling. Most districts in our county do not have the TOSA ( Teacher On Special Assignment ) to help guide the young adults into their step into adulthood. The one in charge for Bandon is phenomenal. If you really want to know how Bandon schools are, stop a student and ask. Most of them will tell you Bandon is trying harder than most to make school a pleasurable learning base, not just instilling knowledge, but giving a child direction and purpose..... most of the staff from what I have seen would walk through fire for your child. What you have heard about Bandon Schools have been all a part of small town gossip, some of it true and some of it purely said with malicious intent.... School District 54 recieves an A in my book.... Now, go ask a student... They will tell you, TIGER PRIDE is a real disease and when you catch it, your STRIPES WILL RUN DEEP. read more
