If you…read moreask me how I found Attorney Michael Kotarski I would say I Googled and among all the listings for "family", his was the one that indicated values that I needed to connect with in a time of conflict, confusion, uncertainty. Personable and professional! Respectful and compassionate. An active listener and resourceful. What started out as a call for help with affairs for one parent ended up being a call for both parents. I had a plan for where to start, to be of intellectual assistance to two vulnerable people I love when we hung up. The question I realized is not "what do I want to do legally" but "what do I need to do" and Attorney Michael Kotarski was a great navigator with an impactful response. Light in the darkness! Thank you for responding Attorney Kotarski to my call, and for being a part of this faith in action plan for health, healing and restoration as God's will is being done for our beloved. He helped me and I "feel better, so much better" since I followed the Spirit and made that call! Call Attorney Kotarski with expectation that you will have a valuable use of your time and will get help. Reverend Leslie

He used to be a prosecutor for the City of Flint prior to starting his own practice. He practices Personal Injury, Criminal Defense, and Family Law. When he is in the court room he is on task and there, but sometimes he seems to be flying by the seat of his pants (not as prepared as he should be). Outside the court room, he can be difficult to get ahold of, and even though he has an email address he doesn't utilize it so its a wasted effort if you prefer that form of communication over others. If you are not a high paying client (as in PI or CD), you are easily forgotten or seemingly neglected, especially post-judgment. I retained him for my divorce, which he handled well I believe, but I also kept him on retainer for post-judgment work as necessary and was disappointed at how I was brushed off by his staff. His kids play hockey and he also does union (uaw) representations, so he is somewhat active in the community. Overall I'd have to say 3 stars.

Let me start by saying if you are fortunate enough to read my review before handing any money to…read morethese women then I will save you from being " RIPPED OFF " . Melissa DiGiamberdine and Juanita . L . Massey are crooks. First they will pressure you under duress To pay them several thousand dollars and promise to resolve your case and if you are familiar with Chapter 13 Bankruptcy then the only thing an attorney is allowed to collect from you is the filing fee which is only $310.00 . Just recently these women stole several thousand dollars from my parents and not only did they do this but then they went to court and completely dropped the ball and Destroy my parents legal files which made it almost impossible to get an Attorney worth having to take there case after these women asked to be removed from the case because they didn't want to return the money the stole or overcharged my parents. It took a great deal to get a worthy attorney to help my parents after this but it did happen. JUST A LITTLE ADVICE, " DO NOT ALLOW THIS FIRM TO REPRESENT YOU UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES. RUN AWAY AS FAST AS YOU CAN "

I want to begin by acknowledging a positive aspect of this firm: the front office staff is…read moreconsistently friendly, welcoming, and accommodating. That level of courtesy does not go unnoticed. However, my experience as the executor of my mother's estate has been deeply frustrating and, at times, disheartening. Following my mother's passing, I never had the opportunity to meet with an attorney to review or discuss the estate. Instead, all of my communication was handled through a legal assistant. While she was kind and personable, I was repeatedly given information that was inaccurate regarding the legal requirements for closing the estate. On multiple occasions, I was told that certain documents were required to be prepared by an attorney in the state of Michigan. This was simply not true. The documents in question can, in fact, be completed by an individual and properly notarized without legal representation. The first document I requested was a Certificate of Trust. I was advised that this document must be completed by an attorney and that most title companies require it. Knowing this was incorrect, I still chose to proceed with the firm preparing the document for the sake of efficiency. While I do not regret that decision, I do find it troubling that such misrepresentations are made--especially to individuals who may be navigating grief and unfamiliar legal processes at a vulnerable time. A second document was also prepared under the same premise--that it required an attorney's involvement. Again, this was inaccurate. This document is publicly accessible and can be completed without legal assistance. When I was unable to locate it on my own, my bank was able to guide me through the process without difficulty. This further underscored the unnecessary nature of the service I was led to believe I needed. I find this pattern of misrepresentation not only unprofessional, but deeply disappointing given the circumstances under which many clients seek estate services. Families deserve transparency, honesty, and guidance they can trust. A fair resolution, in my view, would be a refund for the second document. Unfortunately, my attempts to address this directly have gone unanswered, as I have not received return calls from the legal assistant. In closing, I strongly encourage anyone serving as an executor to thoroughly research their responsibilities and options. It is important to understand that not all documents require legal preparation, and informed decisions can help avoid unnecessary expenses during an already difficult time. It is truly unfortunate to feel this level of doubt when seeking professional legal guidance.

Rachel was unbelievably helpful in planning and placement to a wonderful apartment facility. After the initial placement, Mannor law firm then helped us to navigate the many different branches of government so that my parents would receive the maximum help available to them. I am convinced that the average person could not effectively navigate these systems. Mannor Law then had Eric, another specialist who works with them, help us apply to the V.A. for retirement benefits for my father. Initially my father was turned down but Eric (like the rest of the members of Mannor Law) just doesn't give up and after a lot of his work, my father did receive the benefits. In short, we went to Mannor Law somewhat lost and not knowledgeable enough to effectively take care of our parents as we wanted to. Mannor Law accomplished so much more than we could have without them and better than that, what they accomplished paid for their services in less than one year! Using Mannor Law was by far one of the best decisions that I have ever made!
