The filet mignon was very tender and cooked exactly as I requested. I had it with butter, lemon and garlic, which was wonderful. The service was excellent and there were several good wines to choose from. The space is upstairs with a view over the square. The atmosphere is lovely and quiet. The rooms were comfortable, and the cleaning staff deserves special mention -- the woman who cleaned our room went above and beyond (she even organized my makeup one morning!). Everything was spotless, and the beds were super cozy. The main downside was the Wi-Fi in the rooms -- it barely worked, so I had to head down to the restaurant for a connection. We stayed in a suite, which looked a bit more spacious in the photos, so that was a small disappointment. There were also a few bugs and small critters (mosquitoes, crickets, lizards), but considering the off-grid, jungle-meets-beach vibe, it's understandable. Overall, it was a great stay -- beautiful setting, perfect location, and easy access to food, the beach, and town.
