I am very disappointed in the change in attitude, but it is time for me to find a new doctor. Most of his staff is very helpful, although I did have one PA that wasn't very pleasant, but I learned to avoid any appointments with her. Also, Dr. Politis is accepting new patients, but his existing patients, such as I, have to wait nearly six months to get an appointment with him, despite being his patient for several years. Seeing a PA is mostly the person you will see once you are an established patient. I have already found a new dr. and I will have two appointments in two weeks and another one in a couple of months; 3 appointments with a Dr...NOT a PA, in 3 months, and he spent over an hour with me with my first appointment, so I am thrilled with this new change!!

As for as Dr Politis goes, he is terrific. He takes his time, explains everything, he's a good Dr. The office is clean and orderly, I would recommend him and his staff to anyone.

My original Dr. left the office so I decided to continue and meet with Summers for my next visit. When I met him, he called me a liar, said I was on steroids and said he wouldn't treat me with no further explanation. I had gotten multiple blood tests that had proved I was low and had been going to this office for an entire year. And here is the best part. His office had the audacity to charge me for the visit! I would avoid Dr. Summers at all costs. Guy has completely lost his mind and I am considering reporting him to the medical board. If I could leave zero stars I would.

I recommended all my friends and family after my experience and they feel the same way. It's nearly impossible now days to find a physician who really listens. His bedside manner was combative and stressful. He definitely has that physician God complex thing going and did not allow me to be an actual participant in an interactive discussion on my health. His chart notes were, well, odd. 90% of it was a drawn out depression survey and a discussion on the small talk I made about my work. He also never called me to discuss the results of my bloodwork like his staff said he would. One and done with Dr. Summers, I have since transferred.

The first place I used the doctor cussed at my wife the first time she met him when he was describing the weather, the second was too busy and overbooked that you barely got any face to face time with the doctor. After asking around we were recommended Westside Pediatrics and Dr. Felkel. He has been everything that we needed and then some. The staff is wonderful, and the other doctors are great too when Dr. Felkel has been out of town or we needed to come in for a sick visit. What makes Dr. Felkel great is that he cares about the kids he takes care of, and adjusts his doctoring style to each kid. My son is very serious but my daughter is a wild card. He is different with both of them to get them to do ear tests, and let him check them out. He explains everything to the parents in normal terms and wants the best care for those under his watch.

It was a combination of allergy issues and working in a new office with all kinds of new germs. Regardless, Dr. Wilcox helped me out each time. Not only does he just prescribe meds, but he explains the root of your illness so you know what's going on. If necessary, he'll even draw you pictures :) Since I've gotten used to city life and am taking better care of myself as I get older, I don't need to see Dr. Wilcox as much as I used to. But if/when I do get sick (knock on wood!), I would be happy to go back and pay him a visit. Crossing my fingers that it's minor and not swine flu related.
