STAY AWAY Took around 8 weeks to file my US taxes, despite agreeing that 4 weeks was enough time. This meant he missed the deadline. Transpired later that he in fact went ahead and filed without authorization and lied about it. Made a basic mistake which I figured out when his behaviour was so erratic that I talked to an actual qualified CPA in the US. I asked Alistair to make the required changes. I got no apology for not knowing something pretty basic (about mortgages) which he also screwed up on my previous year's return. Didn't file an additional form even though I reminded him twice. Eventually seeing the deadline close to slipping by I filled it in myself and sent it to him so he only had to copy what I had already done. He did the amendment and then never filed it. It's now over 6 months since I first sent the documents in and he still hasn't filed the amendment despite the fact that he has done it. I have practically been begging by email. It's all so inexplicable and miserable to deal with. I wish there was a body I could report him to but i'm actually not sure he's qualified. Very unprofessional service. They took six weeks from receiving my documents to file my return, then barely submitted the return on time (apparently because the IRS upload system was down?), and expected payment before the return actually came through. They also clearly weren't entirely aware of the tax code because he got my estimated return incorrect, which has never happened to me before in 10 years of filing US taxes. read more

If i could give a zero stars i would. These guys really suck, scam artisits. Cannot get a hold of Alistair. Buggered up my Uk taxes and now I have a £15000 gbp bill. No reply to emails, only get through to young associates who dont know what they are doing. Seriously go somehere else. read more

I worked for Bambridge Accountants last year. That they call themselves an accounting firm is a joke. I had to ask multiple times to get paid each month. At the end of the year, they refused to send me a W-2 so I could file MY taxes despite numerous requests. Turns out they hadn't been withholding social security taxes on my behalf as required by law. If I were you, I'd stay far, far away from Alistair Bambridge if you want quality work. read more

I used to get my taxes done by them they overcharged me and got the calculations wrong so I was paying extra every month so I was loosing another of money due to them the staff was disrespectful on multiple occasions read more

BEWARE!!!! This outfit is a scam. They don't have an office. The phones are disconnected. Good luck getting a response from Alistair or his cohort Hemma Channa after they have screwed up your taxes and have your money. They filed our 2018 US returns. Turns out they were done completely wrong. Now have to pay thousands to real accountants to fix the issue as well as fines to IRS. Absolute nightmare! And can't get these people to respond. Email is only contact as phone number is now disconnected. I urge you to go elsewhere if you are filing taxes in the US from the UK. This business is a dog and pony show. Alistair, I am going to file complaints with every professional Organisation that I can find! You have absolutely ruined the end of the year for me and have caused my family enormous stress. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. This is the worst experience I have ever had with a professional services firm. Despite paying for the services, I have been following up for several months and missed the US tax deadline. Communication with Alistair started off smoothly, but despite several email follow ups and calling the office multiple times, I have been completely cut off. I'm not one to leave negative reviews, but it's a last resort after being completely ghosted by this firm. If you google them, I'm horrified to find lots of customers having the same experience. Really shocked and upset at having my money taken, it is fraud and I tend to file formal complaints with the tax regulator. read more

Terrible company. There is only one accountant (Alistair...at least I think he is) and the other employees are young kids in their late teens/early 20's and none of them are accountants and they're the ones you will be dealing with - IF you can get any of them to respond to an email or phone call. NEVER USE THIS ACCOUNTANT. Alistair and his team completely messed up my taxes and put me through a huge amount of stress and hard work. They took on my company accounts/tax return and suddenly stopped filing for companies this year. This left me with no help, fines and endless problems for my new accountant to deal with. They didn't respond to any of my emails, and it seems that it has been the same story for their other company clients. I would hate for anyone to have to go through the same stress as me.
