When we were first scouting for a daycare and paid Little Panda a visit, a few things stood out right away. Everything was extremely well organized. The place was sparkling clean. And Claire was very candid with us that English is her second language and that the children would be likelier to pick up a good understanding of Mandarin from her than English. We have nothing but good things to say about our subsequent experiences. Claire and her staff (Lilly Lǎoshī in particular) were very loving to our daughter, who in turn loved her time at daycare and often preferred to spend a bit more time playing there at pick up time than come home. The food was always both nutritious and of high quality for no extra charge. The backyard, while the typical size for a single-family home in the area, is filled to the brim with activities for the children. There were frequent visits to the nearby Vineland park, library, and the farmers market on Wednesdays. Claire herself is a bundle of energy organizing several events for the families of the children at her daycare ranging from potlucks, to Mothers day, Halloween trick-or-treating etc. The house is always immaculately setup during these occasions with the appropriate theme. I particularly recall how, in the midst of a personal crisis, she managed to keep the daycare operational without any drop in standards. We greatly appreciate how well our daughter was taken care of during her stay at Little Panda.

So to say that I was impressed that all the kids here spoke Chinese (despite many of their parents being English speaking only) was an understatement. I also was surprised that the monthly price included meals for lunch AND dinner. This is such a nice perk, and it's a relief to know that the food is homemade. Claire seems very passionate about what she does and is very engaging when singing and having circle time with the kids!

She stayed until she graduated and went on to preschool--she is 5 now and to this day, she still asks to go back! That's how much she loved it there. Now our twins have been attending since 2023, when they were 4 months old, and they're thriving. One of the highlights of the daycare is Maan. She is always full of energy, greets us with a big, warm smile every day, and is truly beloved by all our kids. Her kindness and enthusiasm make drop-offs so much easier and comforting. We also really appreciate how well they care for the children. Our kids always come home clean, happy, and well cared for--we've never had to deal with diaper rash, or even any food stains, which speaks volumes about the level of attention and hygiene they maintain. The daycare itself is always very clean and well-kept. During COVID, we were especially impressed with how hygienic and cautious they were. You can tell they genuinely prioritize the health and safety of the kids. If they ever notice any signs of illness--like a slight fever or a cough, or even a lack of appetite--they let us know right away. That kind of communication and care gives us so much peace of mind as parents. What really sets this daycare apart are the thoughtful, personal touches. They create the sweetest keepsakes--like handprinted paper flowers for Mother's Day and adorable Valentine's Day photos with candy-themed backdrops, they even give the kids Christmas presents (including our older daughter, even after she graduated from the daycare!). There are always fun, engaging activities like Easter egg hunts, trick or treat, circle time, singing, and story reading. My kids always come home singing songs they learned from daycare. They're also incredibly flexible, and have gone above and beyond by offering weekend or nighttime care when we've needed it. That kind of support has been a lifesaver for our family. We're so grateful to have found such a nurturing, reliable, and caring place for our kids. Highly recommend to any parent looking for more than just a daycare--this is a true second home.

The hardest part of leaving San Jose was saying goodbye to this daycare…read more We were incredibly lucky to find this in-home daycare for our two daughters. From the very beginning, it was clear that this wasn't just childcare--it was a warm, loving extension of our own home. Lidia, 'Na-Na' and Maan cared for our girls as if they were their own, and every day we dropped them off with complete peace of mind, knowing they were safe, happy, and so loved. Our oldest daughter attended this daycare for three wonderful years, and our youngest was there until we moved--when she was 1.5 years old. Watching them grow, thrive, and build such a strong bond with Maan and the other teachers was a gift we'll always be grateful for. They were always in great spirits when we picked them up--clean, well-fed, and full of stories and smiles. Our youngest would reach for Maan with open arms each morning at drop off, and that kind of trust and affection says everything you need to know. One of the many things we loved about Maan's daycare was the thoughtful and fun activities she planned each day. Whether it was art projects, story time, songs, or play-based learning, everything was designed to support the kids' development--not just academically, but socially and emotionally as well. Our girls learned so much during their time there and developed strong social skills, creativity, and confidence thanks to Maan's intentional and loving approach. Maan has a heart of gold. She is incredibly kind, patient, and nurturing. Her home is warm, clean, and filled with joy. You can tell how much the kids love her--it's a special kind of bond that only someone truly passionate about children can create. Leaving this daycare was, without a doubt, the most emotional part of our move. If you're a parent or guardian looking for someone you can fully trust with your little ones, look no further. I cannot recommend this daycare enough. Maan and the other teachers are a rare gem, and we're forever grateful for the love and care they gave our daughters.

Mimi, Sam, and the entire staff have been very caring and helpful with Mila's development over the years. One thing we especially appreciate is that they provide breakfast, homemade lunch, and snacks, which makes life much easier for parents. They are also very flexible with early drop-offs and late pick-ups, which has been incredibly helpful when our schedules change. The kids' schedule is always full of educational and fun activities, including seasonal celebrations like Halloween, Christmas, Chinese New Year, and Diwali, as well as special events like fire department visits. We also really enjoy the yearly parent gatherings, which give families a chance to meet and get to know each other. Mimiz was originally recommended to us by friends, and after our own experience, we've recommended it to several of our friends as well. I would definitely recommend Mimiz to any parent looking for a caring, flexible, and engaging daycare and preschool for their child.

The improvement in hand coordination has been so fun to watch, and I feel we have a great foundation for future schooling. After 8months of waitlisting, the first day when we went for open house appointment, looking at how clean and organized this place was, we immediately knew and decided that this was the best place for my then 1Yr old kid. (We had been touring 6-7 daycares prior to this place, and in the first 5 mins, we decided not to send at those places). Starcrest after touring felt like a no-brainer to us. This daycare is in safe neighborhood and they have secured gate with cameras for safety. No parking space issues. Ms. Simin and Ms. Soledad are such a lovely people and great care-takers/teachers who truly care and nurture all kids here. Ms. Simin has lot of years of experience in Kid care. They have live camera for certain times (8ish - 11:30am) where you can watch their kids (you will not miss their innocent action for your memories). My kid ate there very well. He loved Ms. Simin food so much that he always asked for multiple servings. They provide healthy and clean food/snacks. Whenever kid struggled to eat (usually happens in the beginning or whenever needed), they always took care of kids with great affection and patience telling them stories. This place is well cleaned/organized at the end of the evening, for the next day. They have good routine of circle time; story time; learning time; playtime; extra-curricular time (like baking); etc. They have various themes occasionally. Especially during summer, they have splash pads and summer plays which kids love. You will receive photos of kids (which we miss a lot now) enjoying during play-routine; splash pads; etc. They give discrete and good constructive feedback about kid's actions which needed correction/improvement for kid's well being. My kid who has now grown and still remembers them and wants to see them and visits. He doesn't love his new preschool's lunch as much as he loved Ms. Simin's lunch. He also misses the attention and affection they gave him while he was there. Even we miss Starcrest's approach towards kids. Enrolling my kid in this daycare was undoubtedly one of the best decisions we had taken. Thank You Ms. Simin and Ms. Soledad for the best care you had given to all kids and making it worry-free for parents!

After having my son at Starcrest daycare for 2 years and my daughter for 1 year, I can confidently…read moresay this has been one of the best decisions we've made for our family. What makes Starcrest daycare so special is that it's a home-based daycare run by highly experienced teachers with prior experience from Action Day, bringing the structure and curriculum of a larger preschool into a warm, family-like environment. The low teacher-to-child ratio (only 4-5 children in the preschool class and around 7 in the younger class) means every child receives plenty of individual attention. The teachers are incredibly loving, patient, and genuinely care for the children as if they were their own. My son started daycare as a very shy child who struggled with social anxiety, adapting to changes, and developing independence skills. With the teachers' patience, encouragement, and support, I've watched him grow tremendously in confidence. He now participates much more in activities, interacts with other children, and navigates transitions with far greater ease. My daughter was a very late walker, and even though caring for a child who wasn't yet walking required extra effort, the teachers were always patient, encouraging, and willing to help her every day. They truly went above and beyond for both of my children. They have an engaging and thoughtfully planned curriculum with weekly themes, crafts, sensory play, music, and early learning. My son learned tracing, letters, numbers, shapes, days of the week, and even spelling simple 3- to 5-letter words. They also make so many fun theme and activity days - Disney, camping adventures, splash pads, water tables, inflatable pools, jump houses, chef and cooking days, smoothie making, slime play, car washes, holiday celebrations, parades, and the most adorable Mother's/Father's Day keepsakes. Another thing we absolutely love is the food. The children are served healthy, home-cooked meals with plenty of variety, including lentil/bean soups, quesadillas, fish, and much more. They also serve two snacks each day. What touched us the most was how accommodating they were with our family's dietary needs. Whenever chicken or beef meatballs were on the menu, they would thoughtfully purchase halal meat specifically for my children. That level of care meant so much to our family. They also make kids birthdays extra special with homemade muffins, balloons, and thoughtful celebrations that make each child feel truly special. Communication is excellent through the Lillio app, daily messages, and photos, so we always know how our children's day went. Most importantly, this daycare truly feels like family. Our children have been loved, encouraged, and cared for every single day. We are so grateful for everything the teachers have done for our family and couldn't recommend them more highly.

Ms. Mila and her husband Mr. Cuqui took care of both my children--my youngest from the time he was an infant until he recently transitioned to TK. They are some of the best caregivers I have been lucky to meet, and they are organized, efficient, and dependable in how they run their home daycare. If you are a new parent and unsure of whether a nanny, preschool, or something in between will be the most ideal for your child, Ms. Mila's truly blends the best of them all. The home-based environment provides that casual, family-like touch that is so good for the little ones' development and helps builds important human connections at an early age. At the same time, Mila and Cuqui integrate lots of intentional teaching, play, art, and activities on a daily basis that engage the children in foundational learning and skills-building. Both my kids learned to read at an early age, which I attribute to the help of the consistent attention and teaching they got here. On top of it all, Mila and Cuqui know how to make things fun--they celebrate holidays, birthdays, and occasional family gatherings, not to mention they take some enviable, much-deserved vacations and camping trips on their time off! I admire these providers greatly in how they live and run a business, and I truly loved and will miss sending my kids to them alongside all of their daycare friends.
