Although we weren't very hopeful, we thought acupuncture could at least help to get my cycle normalized again after the rollercoaster of IVF stimulation hormones. Angie recommended a 6-month program of acupuncture and traditional Chinese herbs. After 4 months, she told us we might consider trying again, we did, and voilà, we were pregnant. She is always on time with her appointments, her manner is most welcoming and calming, and her treatment rooms are clean and neat. I went to Dr. Hu over six months ago because I could not get relief for the pain and numbness in my leg that was caused by slipping on black ice in February of 2015. I tried chiropractic treatments, but the numbness remained. Before I resorted to the opioids and nerve blocks of traditional medicine, my sister (a functional medicine specialist) suggested that, if I tried acupuncture, my numbness might go away.  I did; it did. It was like a miracle. I am able to walk again without discomfort. Dr. Hu's skill in using the appropriate treatment regimen has been so satisfying that I intend to continue working with her to take advantage of her skill in using acupuncture to promote overall well-being.  While I still don't know how those needles work, I do get the point--pain relief, renewed energy, and overall well-being.

Both massages were equally amazing. They both adjust the pressure to your comfort level and are extremely inviting. They both also focused on the areas that had needed additional attention. It was perfect! IV fluids from CCIH truly let's you know what you're body is missing! I usually get the energizer and I'm so surprised that it actually works. The red light therapy was new for me but I enjoyed it as well. It was so comfortable (I took a nap lol) and I did feel refreshed afterwards. Every service leaves me feeling instantly rejuvenated. I'm so glad I found this clinic. It really helps with intensifying my self care. Im looking forward to float therapy and infrared sauna next! And overall, I just wanted to see the entire place because there was so much they were offering on the website. I thought to myself this would be a great place for One-Stop shopping in therapy & self-care. When I called to get more information about the IV treatments, I was referred to the website of the third party who was actually providing the treatment. It was good information and I was all in! When we arrived the gentleman at the front desk, I believe his name is Adrian, notice my hat and we had a very long conversation. We were both from New Mexico and had a lot to exchange. He showed us around and was very pleasant. Small world! When we were completing the tour the practitioner arrived to give us IV treatments. My partner was set up in a chair that seemed to be used for the IV treatments. It was something like a dentist chair but you could tell it was specifically for that purpose. Then a customer arrive to use the bike (for some sort of oxygen treatment) and another employee basically came and said we had to move. She made us felt as though we were intruding because the woman administering the IV treatment was a third party vendor (she further relayed she had no control over those appointments so we had to move). It was off-putting. We moved into a room that seemed to be for massage therapy. The whole experience left a bad taste in my mouth. The woman administering the IV treatment had to break out her phone flashlight to get enough light to administer the IV. I also use the red light therapy bed and honestly looked forward to trying some of the other therapies (specifically massage & acupuncture), but I don't think this is for me. The massage rooms look very private and perhaps calming. However, there seems to be a lot going on in the main space. It gives me locker room vibes, which may work for some, but it was not what I was expecting. If you live in the city, you can have IV treatments at your home. They'll come to you. That's what I've done going forward.

However, always give it a try, it seriously does not hurt and this practice is extremely peaceful, calm, and relaxing. All of the acupuncturist are extremely professional and they all care so much about their patients. They also offer bodyworks such as different type of massages that are geared towards relaxation. Remember they are NOT a spa. If your insurance does not cover acupuncture, they also offer community which is way cheaper. Overall, mend is the best place for one-on-one acupuncture. I would recommend black sheep in Rosedale, MD if you want a great community acupuncture. They have a $15-30 sliding scale for there community, so it's more affordable.

He always took lots of time to listen and ask questions so that he could tailor his work to my specific state at the moment. I frequently felt the calming, grounding, or energizing effects of his work immediately. Although external looks weren't my primary concern, I was frequently amazed, when I happened to catch a glance of myself in the mirror, by how radiant and colorful my face appeared after an acupuncture session--it seemed that inner health was shining outward, too. I feel that Eric's acupuncture greatly helped to support my health and energy while I was working very hard toward some ambitious career goals. Because I was able to successfully achieve those goals, I'm no longer in the area. After moving away, I discovered that not all acupuncturists are created equal: in my new, cosmopolitan city, I'm still trying to find an acupuncturist who's as good as Eric.
