Brilliant food! We…read moreopted for a takeaway from this restaurant on a Friday night when we couldn't be bothered cooking. We ordered a selection of starters, mains, rice and naan to share and I enjoyed all of it. The mixed starter was a lovely way to try a few different dishes but not be too full before the main courses. There are no pakoras on the menu which I did find a bit disappointing, but it did make us try something else for a change. We ordered a few different dishes (can't remember them all!) but we definitely had both the Butter Chicken and the Garlic Chicken and a Dahl, all were full of flavour and got demolished! The restaurant was clearly very busy, both with sit in diners and take away orders, yet our order was ready about half an hour after we phoned it through. Would highly recommend giving this place a try.

I know of Londoners that travel down to Selsey and stay the night in a B&B just to have a meal here. It is a well established restaurant and the owners and staff are well known in the town. Service is very quick and efficient and you are not waiting an age for your next course (unless you request it). The interior decor has been recently updated and is also very pleasant. A large party (30-40) arrived shortly after we did and this did not affect service at all. The food is still amazing. I opted for the RaRa chicken which was particularly delicious. A lovely blend of spices which was hot enough to appreciate but not too hot that it drowned out the flavours as happens in many curry houses. The alcohol is also extremely reasonably priced, (cheaper than you would pay for it in the local pubs, which is unusual for a restaurant and very much appreciated). 2 courses for 2 people with alcohol for under £30. An ideal spot for a romantic evening with the wife, great food, great surroundings, great staff and a great night out.

**June 2022: Saturday Dinner**…read more I landed in London in the afternoon and basically slept through half the day. When 9pm rolled around I figured I probably should eat something, but I wanted to try something local, so I walked about a mile away from my hotel and after a couple of no go options I landed on Zayani Indian. The restaurant had abundant traditional options, so I decided on one of my all time favorites: Chicken Tiki Marsala and Garlic Naan. The entree was exactly how I like my Marsala, creamy, somewhat sweet and savory and the chicken is soft and tender. The naan was the perfect vehicle to dip in the marsala. The marsala dish was a tad smaller than what I'm use to in the states as I usually have leftovers, but it was enough to fill my belly for a dine-in experience. Additionally the price seemed pretty reasonable for a white-table cloth dinner and they open late. I would come back!
