Mike Brandt is a class act. I consulted a LOT of attorneys when my 20 year old was cited, and…read moreevery other attorney I consulted told me I was best off retaining them (for their standard flat fee) before any court action. Mike was the only one who was straight with me. He told me -- against his own financial interest -- that there was a very good chance that the hearing officer would "continue the case for dismissal" (give us exactly what we wanted) if my kid appeared on their own. He could have sold me his services, but he didn't. He earned my respect.

I called Eric Bain at Brandt Criminal Defense (who was recommended to me by a family member) in a…read morestate of panic. I thought I was going to be in major trouble and there wasn't much even an attorney could do about it. He immediately came up with possible solutions that he believed could get me out of my jam. Eric was calming and put me at ease and immediately came up with a game plan. I was still doubtful an attorney could improve my situation. I was wrong. Eric was able to work with the state in such a way that they decided to drop the charges entirely. Before going to court, Eric recommended a couple of easy things I could do to improve my situation in preparation. After the state decided to drop my charges, they indicated that the few things I did in preparation for court, that Eric recommended I do, were the reason why they decided to drop my charges. He was able to keep my record completely clear and I honestly think if I had hired a different attorney that would not be the case.

From the moment I met with Eric, he assured me that I would benefit from completing my obligations prior to my court date, and that couldn't be more accurate. Initially, I was so far out of my comfort zone with this whole process. Thank you, Eric, for believing in me, and guiding me through this very unfamiliar journey. I hired Paige as my attorney for a DUI. I met her at the courthouse awaiting my hearing. We spoke…read moreand exchanged numbers. When I reached out to her the very first time she was on Vacation and told me she would get back to me when she returns to the states. When she returned back to the US, she contacted me two days later and we drew up a contract and I paid her a down payment of a $1000 to go towards her entire fee. Within that timeframe of seven days I received a letter regarding my gun permit and DUI. Paige exclaimed she cannot work with me regarding my gun permit. I would have to hire another attorney at which point I knew I could not afford two attorneys at one time. So I decided to find someone that could handle everything under one umbrella. I guess she did not like that because she has yet to return the thousand dollar payment that I made to her. She wrote a receipt of all the things that she's completed in seven days two of those days she was at the airport and settling in when she came back from her vacation and the other two was a weekend leaving three days left of work. Paige is charging me for emails and text messages within 3 day! Her honesty and integrity that she showed when we first met at courthouse was not how she represented herself to me when I decided there was someone else a better fit. The receipt and ledger that she handed me matched Nothing of what was completed. The dates were wrong. The times are wrong and the money mishandled. I have no problem paying for paying someone who works hard and earned it. This is not the case with Paige. She did not earn $1000 in three days of work and she knows this. Not when her entire fee was $3000 and we had no court hearing, nothing. I just wanted to warn everyone of what you're getting into in case you decide to hire her. This Is not how you professionally handle business if someone is dissatisfied you refund them and you don't give them a hard time. If I could put 0 stars I would save your money and time
