Bally's is an easy 75 minute drive from Waltham and easy to find. The valet parking was quite reasonable and despite a large crowd at the event that night retrieval occurred quickly. The event venue is a large ballroom with folding chairs set up as opposed to a stadium with built-in seats. The Manhattans and stylistics were enjoyable, a trip down memory lane for most in the audience. We ate at the steakhouse before the event, and the meal was good all in all and enjoyable experience. read more

Bally's Twin River is... well, it's a casino. You go in knowing you're probably not going to experience the Bellagio, but there's still a certain level of "come on, guys" that starts to add up pretty quickly. I had issues with multiple machines recognizing my play credits and accepting tickets or money, and a bunch of the card readers either didn't work or wouldn't recognize my players card. Nothing quite like standing at a slot machine trying to convince it that you exist. The cashier situation wasn't much better. Maybe two of the ten windows were actually staffed, which naturally created a nice little line. The cash machines had lines too. Then there's the seating situation. The bar area and the space around the stage had plenty of chairs that were apparently reserved, except they were also completely empty. So there was seating. Technically. Just not for anyone who wanted to sit down. And the bar prices? Eight bucks for a Coors Light. At a casino. I understand you're not exactly shopping at Market Basket here, but come on. That beer better at least whisper winning lottery numbers into my ear for that price. It was loud, as expected. It didn't quite have the same desperate financial decisions being made under fluorescent lighting vibe as some of the casinos I've been to in Oklahoma, but let's not pretend this is Las Vegas either. It's Rhode Island casino Vegas. There's a difference. The hotel was actually the pleasant surprise. My room was comped and considerably better than I expected. Clean, comfortable bed, mini-fridge, spacious bathroom, and a really nice, powerful shower. Most importantly, my room was far enough away from the casino floor that I didn't have to spend the night listening to the rhythmic rumbling of slot machines. That alone deserves some credit. Staff throughout the property were friendly, and there are plenty of food options, including a 24/7 Dunkin', which is basically Rhode Island's version of emergency infrastructure. So I'm landing at two stars, although honestly 2 1/2 would be the more accurate rating. The hotel was better than expected and the staff were friendly, but too many machines and card readers weren't working, lines were unnecessarily long, seating was technically available but mysteriously off-limits, and the prices were doing their best impression of Las Vegas without actually providing the Las Vegas experience. read more

This former Greyhound Park still smells like smoke from the 1970s and '80s, much of it is permanently embedded in the carpet and low ceilings in the second level. Even though they just started poker tournaments in 2026, they made the biggest blunder of any casino I've ever been in by ordering poker tournament chips with no denominations on the chips, so they have an index card taped to the table and you have to constantly look at them to determine how much each chip is worth. I have never seen such an incompetent poker room anywhere in the United States, Mexico or Europe! read more

Nice casino. I don't like that you can smoke there though. The smell is awful. The players clubs offers great promotions when you use your card. The food selection is ok, stay away from Fred and Steve's it's over priced and not worth it. Stick to the fast food spots. The weekends they have some good live music, definitely check it out! read more

We are from the State of Wa and are very familiar with "Bally's" Vegas. We did a rode trip from Niagara Falls down to Newport Ri but needed an over night one day before checking into Newport. In my research & solely because of the name "Ballys Hotel / Casino" did I, without hesitation book our over night. (one other couple booked a room as well based on my recommendation). My husband and I like playing Slots, having some drinks, a good meal thought it would be perfect. Talk about a complete fail as a casino! Granted it was a Monday 9/14/26. $8 a beer or wine? No casino attendents that we could find. . . The only table games available were Black jack, I think 1 poker opened late in the evening. . but they didn't play. We tried to get dinner up in the only restaurant that was suppose to be open (and the steak house was closed) and their POS terminals we not working. . had not been working and they had no idea when they would be up so no services!! No dinner for us that night. The room King bed was decent, ice cold A/C that was hard to manage. . . next morning do you think there was anyplace to get a coffee? NO. . . breakfast? NO. Called the front desk and they sia d there is a Dunkon donuts not far. . . We had to go off site. I'm sorry Ballys you could care less about customer service, let alone making it fun to want to DONATE cash to your gaming!! Never again will we stay at a Ballys property ( and my husband is a diamond club player of old. . ). If you aren't going to put the resources in to make it an enjoyable place to come to then get out and let it be a local Lincoln Casino as it use to be and the locals would love it to be. read more

Terrible experience and customer service. I called today 6/8/2026 3:15 PM Mountain time and spoke with the apparent "supervisor" I asked for our booking records to dispute a charge for room that we did not get because they were sold out. When we realized we got the wrong room upon arrival they said they couldn't do anything for us because we booked through expedia (valid, and understandable). When I called today the man on the phone said yes okay you book through expedia i will send you email and tried to say bye to wrap up the call. I said excuse me sir but can I make sure I get that in my email before I am off the phone with you. Then he asked for my email??? Like what email address did you have intentions of sending it to sir?! Gave him my email and the receipt he sent over only had taxes and such on it. So, I called back to ask if I could get something that showed the room we booked. He immediately raised his voice as me getting frustrated saying he gave me what I wanted. I asked if I could speak with a manager and he got even more frustrated and rude saying he was the supervisor. I then let them know this was very unprofessional and he didn't need to raise his voice at me and he said "i gave you what you wanted, I am professional". Then I asked again to escalate to a manager. He said okay I will and tried to end the call on me AGAIN. Awful experience don't waste your money here. read more

It's not a huge casino, but it's a casino. Large parking lot, not too far off Route 146. They offer valet. PLENTY of slot machines. They have a spa inside (Spa Light.) It's a Korean spa so that means no shoes and clothing in some parts optional. Lots of different rooms to try, an array of hot tubs, massage chairs, etc... (Extremely clean and the day pass is so worth it!) A few options for eating. A few sit down places and a few fast food options. I recently did the following at Bally's: 1. At at Jerry Longo's- wish the Italian was better but bocce ball inside is pretty cool but I can't take my kids here! The smoke! 2. Went to a concert. It's a weird place for a concert. I mean it's a convention center basically. Its carpeted! For the concert they pull out folding chair, and slab a half covering over it with numbers on them with paper signs for the row. Either way- cheap tickets and close to home so I would do it again! The people watching was worth it alone. read more

Tried to check in at 2:15 .... Official check in is 4:00 - no problem - but the room was ready - but they wanted an early check in fee of $20 - how dumb. So instead I made the clerk hold our luggage in a special room for 2 hours. I asked about a refrigerator as I had some leftover pizza. Was told there is no refrigerator available to anyone there - when I asked manager where they keep their lunches - was left with a blank stare. So - instead of paying the $20 - I cancelled my second night - so they are now out the $39 resort fee and a nights room as well. Terrible mgmt there - a $20 fee cost them a nights charge plus a resort fee - Literally was just trying to enjoy a quick getaway - but stupidity and short sightedness with hotel mgmt. wins out - again dumb on their part. Casino - was OK - lots of smoke - but it was OK. read more

I was a bit perplexed when not a single review mentioned their sportsbook, so I was a bit trepidatious about going when that was my sole objective. However, as it turns out, they have a terrific sportsbook, replete with tons of TV screeens, a traditional betting counter, some kiosks, and a full bar. Knocking it down a star only because they don't do mail-in redemption of winning tickets, which is annoying for a traveler like myself. Btw, kudos for having 3 Dunkin's on the property - love to see it. read more

Oh where to start with this train wreck of a "casino" if you want to even call it that. I live nearby and have been coming here for over 10 years. Before Ballys bought it, it was great. Now its trashy and never taken care of. The last couple weeks I have gone to try to give it a glimmer of hope but alas I was let down. Each time I went the machines were tight. They didn't pay. New machines added which you would think would be loose to entice players to play them lat vacant. I was excited because I rarely get the chance to play the new games as people are always on them. But boy should I have taken that as a warning. They never hit bonuses and didn't pay. If you want to burn your money away yo7d be better if giving it to the bum whose gonna buy drugs on the street after even though they told you that they would buy food with it. But let's not stop there. They are making millions of dollars a day you would assume. Or atleast hundreds of thousands of dollars. You would think they would be able to keep their change machines full of twenties, and hundreds right? Nope. You have a $500 ticket to cash? Guess what. You get $5 bills because they cant afford to fill the machines. Let's continue shall we? Because now that you have your crisp $5 bills in hand let's go feed them into the machines. Oh but guess what?? The bill collectors are full and now the machines holding your cash in the machine hostage until you "call and attendant". You press the button. You ask workers for help and they look at you like deer in the headlights. They say "we will get someone right away". Next thing you know 40 minutes pass and still no help. You have to result to calling ballys security and reporting that your money is being held hostage by the machine. Even then its 50/50 they dispatch someone to help you. The place needs new ownership. Ballys sucks. They are greedy, dont pay, dont invest in their employees (or lack thereof) and dont care about its patrons. You are better off going to Mohegan, Foxwoods, Plainridge, MGM Springfield, Boston Encore, or even First Light Casino in Taunton. Because atleast at those locations they have a clue. You wont have to wait until your 100th birthday to get helped at those locations. Maybe they are banking on you aging enough at the maxhine waiting for help so that you can now collect Social Security to waste at their scrappy machines. This place is a joke. Stay away. read more

I've been a loyal Bally's Twin River guest since moving to Massachusetts in 2013, but I'm incredibly disappointed with the level of customer service lately. On two separate visits, my husband was stuck at a broken machine for over 30 minutes waiting for help. Both times, I had to personally track down a slot host and have them text me the machine numbers just to get anyone to respond. Today was especially frustrating. When the slot mechanic finally came over, he didn't even acknowledge the long wait. No apology, no explanation -- not even a simple offer to send over a waitress for a drink. Just silence, as if our time and experience didn't matter at all. This kind of service is unacceptable--especially with so many other options like Encore and MGM in Massachusetts, not to mention Gate City and The Nash in New Hampshire, which we literally drive past to get to Twin River. Bally's, you need to do better. Longtime customers deserve more respect and better service. read more

I have been a long time customer at Ballys . I have built great relationship w many staff members on the floor but I have a great complaint about the hotel. I was staying at the hotel a week ago when Lorraine a desk worker was very rude to me . She always has been rude to everyone! She threatens to call the security because I asked a simple question. The turnover has been very high because of people like her and poor customer service. And when you call the front desk they hang up on you! This has to stop ! I have heard from various depts at the casino that experience the same. As I stated this has to stop a person like Lorraine that is very rude and disrespectful to customers either needs to be trained or stepped down, Update I spoke w the new manager Patrick and he handled the situation with such professionalism so kudos to him. He is a great asset to Bally thank you Patrick read more

I'm hesitant to write negative review on this establishment as a whole because it truly is a clean and renovated casino that we enjoy, however, the audio for the music in Lighthouse Bar is so atrocious that we could not bear to stay and listen to the live band. We were not the only ones who had this experience so please consider resolving this! read more

I enjoy the smoke free casino although the kiosks typically don't work to claim free play. I will not go to a show there again. You are thigh to thigh with the person next to you sitting in banquet chairs that are zip tied together so you can't spread them out at all. Never enough bartenders in the events and you can't see the stage because it is a banquet room, not a theater. Too bad. There are some good opportunities to have a nice place there like the Fox theater at foxwoods. Turn the old stadium seating into a theater or something. Restaurants are blah. Fred &Steve's has had the same menu for years and the Meatball place has about 6 options. Neither is open most days. Wicked Good grill is not. Simple options. There is an opportunity to do some good food there. read more

i'd like to share my experience from last night. I came with a friend who wanted to have a few drinks and gamble. We sat at the bar and was ignored for the first five minutes, There were two elderly women working and a tall man. Three of them.. Whispering amongst each other. Neither I or my friend were intoxicated and we ordered two sun cruisers. When my friend went to pay, his card fell out of his wallet. Shouldn't have been a big deal, but apparently it was. Since she cut him off (the "beverage manager") we decided to play the slots. these people followed us around for the next 30 minutes. It was the strangest thing I've ever experienced. As we got up, my friend picked up my empty drink can to throw away, And we were told that we had to leave because we were spilling drinks... which we did not spill anything. I'm personally taking this as a discriminatory offense. Obviously, they waited until we dumped a bunch of money into the slots to tell us to leave. Then the 15-year-old security had to escort us to the door as if we were criminals... Absolutely bizarre. I have NEVER been treated so poorly. Will not be coming back. I'm also not surprised at all these low ratings. read more

I was at Bally's last night 12/28/2025 As always it was very crowded which is good for business. However, there are always issues with the machines that cash out winning tickets. There is a bank of 4 machines in the downstairs area and 3 of them were not working. Went to another area in the Korean section and both were down there as well. I told a worker that the machines were down and I was told that is not her department, and there was another bill changing machine as she pointed, that one was down too. There were long lines at the cashier cage with people waiting to cash their tickets . The place is a disgrace, filthy, glasses, trash, ash trays, empty bottles left on machines and there is never anyone cleaning. In order to play on a machine I had to remove 2 empty bottles, 2 empty glasses and a filthy ashtray and blow ashes off the machine. When is this place going to clean up its act? Literally, just somewhere to go when you don't want to go to CT. We've gone so many times and have left so many times after spending next to nothing in money. Not worth it. We've stayed overnight - no plans to do that again. Front desk was not very helpful, room was SO unbelievably basic, it wasn't anything I would expect from a casino. Entertainment - some acts are really good. That's what they have going for them. We were given vouchers for Christmas 2019... just a few months before Covid shut all things down. Because we couldn't use the vouchers within 12m, we were screwed out of $100 and they would not assist - had to contact the state. Um. OK. Phone calls went unanswered at the casino and staff was rude. I'm not really a complainer, in general, but this place is literally just somewhere to go when not in the mood for a long drive to CT. We spend 10% here of what we would spend at the other big casinos in CT (or even Boston). Unless and until they care more about their guests, I'm not really sure we'll ever give them more business. read more

Oh where to start with this sad excuse of a pile of heaping trash. Been coming here for a few years and it has its ups and downs. However expect to lose unless you bet Big! They love to show off their winners on their social media but it's always people thay are betting $5 a spin and up. More likely than not those big flashy winners are betting $10+ a spin. But the average person in this economy in this area won't be betting that high. After all it is a high cost of living area where we all get destroyed with high rent and high mortgages. So when people come here its typically going to be an average medium income household or low income household that probably shouldn't come. So they prey on the little guys to instead pay the big spenders who come in. They have no loyalty to their players card members either. Someone who goes in once or twice a week they end up cutting their freeplay they give out. Because they want the people to spend MORE. Especially to keep their status level. But why not keep it even peeled? Because then they can't take advantage of them. They can't prey on the elderly person or disabled vets. They want every last penny of that SSI Check from these poor souls. Just so they can fund the big spenders. Its a gross practice and they should be ashamed of themselves. Now onto the cleanliness. They still allow smoking so be sure to book yourself a tri0 to the ER and prepare for the Chemo you won't be able to afford because Ballys Twin River has taken all your cash. The bathrooms always have piss on the floors and toilet paper all over the ground. He'll if a machine breaks down, you better get comfy! It will be about 27 years until someone comes to help! The place is a joke and I URGE you to rethink your life choices if you are considering coming to this dump. read more

My wife & I enjoy gambling from time to time and we have family local to this casino so we thought we'd go play a little. We usually play at Hard Rock, Foxwoods, Plainridge, Encore and others. Gamblers beware, this is by far the most poorly run operation I have ever experienced. We were completely stunned by the lack of professionalism we experienced. Lack of concern for your time, your feeling and most of all these people are rude! 1) We hit jackpots, the attendant comes over and creates a ticket, you then have to go to the window to cash this ticket which means you already waited for the attended, sometimes 20-30 minutes, now you have to stand in line again, wait then fill out a tax form and sign it before you get your money. 2) there were no drinks available to a player, not even water or coffee, we saw nobody for 7 hours and had to go to the bar ourselves if we wanted a drink (this includes water) 3) The place is dirty, smells nasty and nobody addresses you with kindness. terrible atmosphere. 4) we hit a jackpot around 2:00 am, we waited 45 minutes and nobody came to help us, we went over to a pit boss at the tables to see if they can call someone to help, he looked at my wife and literally asked her what the machine ID# was, she said she didn't know that info and would really not know where she would find that info, this guy flared up at her, ran over to a machine and pointed to a plaque that has a number on it and said, there, you need to look here on the machine and let me know what the number is, threw up his hands and walked away.
