Just 1 hour from downtown Toronto, and in the heart of Guelph, I found this nice Park to stop in on…read morethe way to Elora. We actually came back on the way back! The park is really nice and green. There's lots of do here, and great for picnics, kids etc. There's lots of grassy areas and picnic tables to set up your lunch, also you can find a spot right by the riverside. The park seems really dog friendly as well, and not sure if it was allowed, but saw lots of dogs run off the dock and jump into the water. For kids, there's also a carousel on the weekends and a small train that goes around a designated spot in the park. Parking is free. There's also the really nice Floral Clock (no flowers on it this time) and Gardens, which could be really nice for photos. It was so relaxing here and lots of explore and lots going on!

As tradition holds with my reviews of parks, I'm gonna let off some steam. I'm tired. Ever since me reviewing rotisserie chickens in outdoor spaces went semi-viral, I've been giving this everything I got. My entire soul. I've sat at my corporate 9-5 job for years dreaming about something like this to happen, so when it finally did, I was ready. I pounced. I said to myself "yeah you're exhausted, but this is the time. It's quite literally now or never." I've given it everything, so at least at the end of the day I can look myself in the mirror and say I tried. I tried my best. Working a 9-5 job in tech sales while doing the writing, editing, eating, filming, traveling, etc. for this has taken every ounce of my being. It's starting to get to me. I don't mean to sound like I'm complaining at all, I'm actually extremely grateful, but I just want to stay raw and honest. The reality is there are highs and lows with everything, and I'm just trying to learn how to navigate them. Seeing that Sports Science guy end it all the other day made me so sad. Like damn that guy brought so much joy to my childhood. Even he was going through it!?!? He looked so happy all the time. I just think it's important to get this stuff out of my head and onto metaphorical paper. Maybe this one should have just stayed in my journal, but whatever. I think it will be cool to come back in 10 years and read this and either laugh at myself for being a dork, or be like "damn I was spitting." That's why I love writing so much. Considering the size of the park, the ratio to park your vehicle is ver low. So we used to visit the park in a little off hours. It has an endless dimension for a toddler to run freely, its always breezy around the park due to the lake. The splash pad is huge , clean and the best. It has a combination of low pressure and high pressure water outputs so the kids of every age group a d enjoy it. There are a few picnic tables, you have to be lucky to grab one. One unique thing about the park is that the young kids play area is separated by toddlers play area which keeps ten toddlers safe and it is big peace of mind for a parent like me. The park is cleaned regularly and the grass is always trimmed. So go for it!

Driving back to the GTA from Niagara, we were enjoying the beautiful blue waters of Lake Ontario. I spotted a small lighthouse that I wanted to take pictures of. My hubby being a good sport got off the highway and patiently waited while I played the tourist. As we drove toward Jordan Harbor to get back on the highway, my hubby spots the wreckage so we drive closer to investigate. Visions of pirates, the Titanic, and Gilligan's Island flooded my brain; I was just tickled at the thought of what the possible history might be of this abandoned ship. This park is on the lake side and the views are so divine and breathtaking. Don't know how I missed this place before. It's so difficult to express in words how serene and beautiful this park is. Perfect place to go and relax and disconnect. You can even see Toronto Skyline from here. There is also a viewing deck, from where you can get a better overall view. This pictures don't do justice to this place. You have experience this place with your eyes. I found this park in fall and went there few times in last weeks of fall before snow. I just envy the people who live close to this place. There were few houses close by, that have balconies opening to lake view. Oh it must be so amazing to wake up everyday to this heavenly view!!
